Oil News...

Sometimes the inventory release drives the market, sometimes nothing.

Was anyone quick enough or brave enough to jump in on that 1min NS right before the news? Good luck getting in on that gap up... 100+pips up and and some sellers found at 87.00. A trap up move perhaps? With ES, EU and GU all looking quite weak ATM waiting to see if Oil follows suit or rallies further.

See attached chart - I only see medium term weakness on the hourly - especially that beautiful narrow spread I highlighted - almost like a EORM.

Thoughts?

Steve what's more interesting to me from your chart is that narrow spread bars location... looks a little like a double top failure. Also TG shows ES as being in a downtrend based on diamonds etc...

Funny that TG didn't mark that high UHV narrow range bar as a SOW.

A ND on that current bar would make a nice short. What did TG call that last red diamond?

I just double checked - I had the sensitivity set to low - setting it back to normal brought up this baby

2 bars back from the current bar? SOW 26 - Supply coming in. Too risky in my opinion as it was at US open - could have been the beginning of a push back up to 1210+.

I've been watching ES come down with a little surprise. I think the European indexes and markets tanking was a unexpected for the NY crowd. Given Benny not being one to disappoint, I am thinking the S&P lows are in (maybe to 1184 still?) and then we head back up fairly quickly as 2pm NY approaches, as a rally of anticipation, and then perhaps a further move up to 1230? Regardless, 1198 is a high volume area that we should revisit. On my volume ladders, I did not see huge selling on the way down, so this move is not completely convincing.

Yeah I wasn't in the right mindset... closed out already for a small loss at 3705. Looks like they have removed the 3700-3720 supply that was present. Seems like they are ready for a possible push through. A test from above into 3720ish would be a nice long.

Probably all that cr*p you've had to put up with today. It's still not clear to me if price is going up or down from here but, there are definately some signs of strength creeping in. Perhaps Boyce will post a chart clearing it up for us.
