Shame its only a demo account

yeah, but it sure felt real enough to me, the pains and the exhilations. I`m still trying to figure out how to make a profit every day. before that it`s best to stay with demo. here is the latest update.

I will wait to see same results on the real account

No real fear or attachment to the money in demo account. Things might be completely different once real money is involved.

yeah, on a real account I`d probably have closed all positions for a 2% gain for the day, instead of letting it run for 20% plus. I still haven`t figured out the best way to exit. and I`m still experimenting, no precise, time-tested method yet.

It used to be the case that when all my positions turned green it was time to exit, because most of the time when that happened market usually reversed and took all my gains. leaving me banging my head on the table and cursing the bars on the screen. this had been the case when I tried to enter the market after short-term trends had established themselves. I had enough of that so today I tried to pick tops and bottoms, and guess what, it worked like a charm. after an initial churning of the stomach the market just went my way, with all its pairs. including metals and indexes. this had never happened before, it was so amazing to see it work out like that. I couldn`t help but to share this joy/amazement/puzzlement/or whatever else you may call it.

this has also got me re-evaluating things I`ve learnt about trading, such as, you should not try to pick top/bottom. I`ve been abiding that rule and I`ve been barely breakeven. and today I tried to trade exactly the opposite and got richly rewarded. what`s the implication of this?

of course today could be an isolated event, let`s see what tomorow`s trading will be like.
