1m t/f.....anyone successful?

Hi.is there anyone out there trading the 1m t/f and successful with it?,personally I have been trading the longer t/f's (d,and 4hr)to some degree of success. Yesterday I traded the 1m and thought it less stressful than I imagined

Yes, it is possible to trade the 1M and be successful.

I've been trading for 5 years and it's the only timeframe I've ever traded. I trade using only price action (yes, it is there on the 1M), no indicators, BUT, I've also been staring at the 1M charts for 5 years for at least 12 hours a day, and I also review charts on the weekends (it's what I'm doing right now).

I use a simple HH HL, LL LH strategy. I stick with the most liquid pairs, but I do not trade any JPY pairs. They just whip around too much for me. Just my opinion. Open a chart and see what you see, then open a different currency pair and see if you see the same thing. The movement is there on the 1M to trade it and be successful.

yes, shorter timeframe are less stressfull, because you hold position for shorter time. I personally use for scalping M5 + H1, thanks to these timeframes is easier to find good support or resistance and scalp it with 10 - 20 pips profit.

yes have traded 5 min and 1 min.

scalped xau/usd. and have done remarkably well 6k in 2 days well.

however, you must look at bigger charts and view the bigger picture so you can establish trends and buy/sell on the trend direction.

Do mean this kind of trade? 1m t/f make lot of pips but, too stress to impliment

Entering market by m1 doesn't always mean scalping. I'm not intraday trader, but I often use m1 for entering position. Believe it or not, with some discretion, I can boost my accuracy, tighten up my SL, and trade comfortably with that, leaving my position for days. Just like using a scope.

It is with the right system. I trade the M1 into the M5 into the H1. I use statistical probability. My alogorithms tell me when the market will turn. It takes time and practice. I first learned to trade the M1 back on MT4. I took a H1 chart drew a channel on it and scaled down to the M5, when the M5 bounced off the channel I would look at my M1 and take the trade, I knew my news and knew the overall direction of the trend. It worked good on trending markets but you would end up giving it back when the market turned sideways. You just need the right set up man, it can be done.

I think anyone trading the 1M charts should take a look at 2 pip range bar charts. A lot of the noise and static is removed. I use Oanda's MT4 and thinkorswim to produce them, then trade live on Oanda's Fxtrade atm.

Every single trade that I do is on the m1 chart. This is in hopes to get into swing trades that will hopefully turn into longer term trades. initially the trade starts out as a normal daytrade in hopes to catch the trend for the day, then for a couple days,and so on and so on. this market is hard to get long term trades lasting more than a couple days anymore without giving up pips made on retracement swings. Top down analasys starting at monthly and daily time frame down to m1 chart, it takes all but about 5 minutes to see if the setup is there or not. I use the monthly and daily to see approximately the length of time I will attempt to stay in a trade.

BIB well said. It was mentioned that shorter time frames are less stressful, well for me that depends on how it's being used. Imo if it's done the way you said then fine, but scalping is stressful, expensive, it can get you into trouble with the broker and it's not my cup of tea personally, but I know some guys who've made fortunes from it.
