U.S. margin, leverage w/ IB

Im looking to move to Interactive Brokers to trade futures, metals etc. as well as FX

Anyone familiar with them? What leverage do they offer for fx, oil, gold, snp etc and what are their minimum contract sizes?

What is their typical turnaround for withdrawals?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I've been with them since 2004 so I'm fairly familiar with them. All of your questions about margin requirements and how their FX product IDEALPRO works with regards to minimums are on their website.

My only gripe with them is their customer service is brutally impersonal and if you ever have an issue with funds and banking you can get the run around for many many hours of holding and many calls to various different people where you have to keep re-explaining the problem. That said, they are the only broker offering this many products under a single brokerage at a very competitive commission price. I also like their FOREX product because it is an ECN type model.

FX margin at IB is not "50%".

Its 40:1 on majors and less on the other pairs.

hi, how do we know that they are "real" ECN broker and not market maker ? In fact, I'm looking for "Real" ECN broker.
