Fundementals Explained Please

Hi Factory Group, Does anyone have material or guidance on how to check and understand what each news announcement that comes out means. There are so many announcements that come out on a weekly basis that I do not understand fully how to interpret what report does what for a particuliar currency pair. A little detail on what each does and how it effects different pairs would be very helpful. Many Thanks in Advance

The calendar on this very site will give you much of the info you seek. What news effects the market can really depend upon the current focus. For instance, the market right now is fixated on interest rates. That means that any indication of inflation, or the lack thereof, takes on great significance. Re: CPI, PPI ect.. The biggies are always NFP (non farm payrolls), any Central Bank meetings, TIC data (Foreign purchases of US debt) GDP and Trade Balance. Traditionally US data takes precedence over other data. Being the worlds reserve currency (for now anyway) has it's privleges As the USD goes so goes the rest of the market.
