Well I got my wish, and the USDCHF trades ran north into a hedge trade.

There was a problem: the MM lines redrew after the final +2/8 extreme line but before the hedge trade was made. The result of this was that an extra level 1 trade for 0.01 lots was made at what was now the new 7/8 level. The hedge trade was correctly made (after that) for the specified multiple (I set it to 1) including the erroneous extra level 1 trade.

Hopefully I've explained it clearly, but the picture may help.

Update: 2 other problems with hedging (may be related to the grid changing whilst hedged trades open)
a) The hedge should have closed on return to grid and didn't
b) More pending orders have been placed for the new grid whilst the original hedged trades are still open, using same magic number. I'm wondering how these trades will close - maybe take out all the hedged trades too? None has been triggered so far ....

Has anyone else discovered any glitches, or has everyone given up on Pippo?

Strange occurrence with drawing of the MM lines last night on AUDUSD.

Pippo still knew where the lines should be - just not being drawn properly on MT4.

Is this what you mean when you say "The line drawing is not correct", Lamarsky?

Hi there I've a slight glitch with V.18. Loaded it up yesterday. According to the trading hours it stopped trading last night at 2100 hrs. But it did not restart this morning. I had to reload it and everything was OK.

Anyone else had this problem.

I've not tested the time controls yet, but I'm glad you're putting Pippo through it's paces too.

Thanks for all the valuable input guys.

I have also seen a lot of the glitches you are reporting. Keep 'em coming

I'm hopeful about being able to post a resolution to the more important issues soon.

I prefer the older version v17.1. This is less than a month of forward test on 4 major pairs. OOTB setting.
Start with 500usd demo account on GO trader and now it's 1150 balance. v18 hardly make any trades.
I'll probably open another demo account with other crim to re-test v17.1 to make sure it has similar performance.

Could you please post your version Pipo V17 and set file.
I can't find it. I'm still testing version 15, but the results are not good.

Thank you

I found the hedging was lethal in v17.1 - it kept doubling and doubling the lot size as the price criss-crossed over the hedge band. I was trading 0.01, 0.02, etc lot sizes, yet hedge trades were being made for 5.2 lots!

If you trade V17.1 live, be very careful and watch it like a hawk when the price action reaches the extremes.

Hi, dietcoke. The Line are different from the default indicator. Please check that.
PippoV18 is good, if can fix the Line bug.

Oh, its only mini demo account as I mentioned.
And, i had checked the account history. mostly trade according to default settings, meaning 0.01, 0.02, 0.06 and 0.12.
Only one of the pair has gone up to 0.32, nothing more. Not much of doubling that you mentioned. and probably i set the max trade to 1
instead of default 3 that prevent doubling? i'm not sure. Somehow dietcoke may have has fixed this in V18 that it now trades alot lesser.

Hi Dietcoke,

Breakthrough! The no-trading charts are not because of a logic problem, but because of memory/computer resource issues. I have 21 charts open on my MT4 demo, but Pippo works only the first 6 or so. I'm a bit slow in noticing that it's a chart order problem - sorry!

Just to verify, I changed the chart order around on my MT4 session, and I got trades on charts which have never worked previously as long as they are in the first 6 charts opened.

I closed down all other MT4 sessions in my VPS, but still couldn't persuade more charts to trade. Is there any way to make it more efficient at using computer resource?

Good news - I was able to test the minimum band width logic, and it seems to work.

That's exciting news! Despite all its problems and trading limitations, V18 is doing really well on my demo account. It will really rock when it trades all currencies!

Can't wait to test the new release .....
