HOw would one analyze this u/j daily? We have a large spread downbar on the 16th. the recent wide upbar closed off the highs right at the close of the down bar. however on the fall back down it seems like accumulation. Would it be safer to wait for no demand at the top of the recent high bar as distrobution or should i be focused more on the accumulation?

At point A supply came in ending the up move.

Point B looks like an up-thrust, yet there wasn't much follow through. This still does show that there is some supply hovering above.

Point C shows a spring up however does not seem legit to me as volume on bar B is still higher than volume on bar C. I would have liked volume on bar C to be higher than B or in the upcoming bars to show some very high volume. This just would have confirmed a high probability to the upside.

Once price broke resistance (1.4475) it did not hold, with supply coming back in on bar D and driving price back down to bar C.

Now I'll be looking for price to reach 1.4460 - 1.4475, and if I see supply coming in, it will seem like a high probabilty trade to the downside and I'll enter big.

Also take a look at the volume on the daily for Monday. It pushed up through resistance on very low volume (compared to the other bars). I would have preffered some more volume (using the car analogy to go over a hill)

If all fails and price does push up past 1.4475 and safely holds, will be looking for a buy.

i dont have patience to read all, But after trying Infinity Futures and other futures demo account.

I downloaded broco demo account and I will not try nomore.

this pair seems be in accumulation mode ready to break the Daily trendline.

We may see a shakeout soon.

i have a long since thursday @ 125.8. I am planning to hold this for a 150-300pip rise. I also have a long on ej at 109.08 since friday. ej has ended phase a wychoff. a possible another 200 pip move.

In VSA terms marked bars on the chart are double bottom (1, 2) followed by upmove with downthrust (3) - this is bullish and I expect a correction from last two days' recent sharp downside action.
On the upside the pivot levels are 750, 780 and 800. On the downside it is 700 - 685 area and then 635 one

VSA rocks, I have started to find it difficult to do a bad trade with it. I can only post my 2nd position in this tournament as proof -> http://www.dukascopy.com/traderconte...er=Belikewater

But all the bad trades werent VSA.

1. Would you have been buying the good US news?
2. Would you have panicked to buy that wide range upbar thinking you missed the boat?
3. If you saw the bars spread and volume as suspect and were thinking maybe a short is the right trade to watch for can you spot the entries? There are a few...

This thread is dead... yes perhaps however that really doesn't matter as it has all been taught and shown. Were you able to learn all you needed to know to be successful with VSA. I hope so...

Don't be part of the herd, be one of the hunters. Don't chase a trade just sit up in your hunters blind quietly hidden from sight and let it come to you and when the time is right take the shot.... but always understand why you did so.

I started to trade forex since last Nov. There has been a lot of effort to learn and improve my skills, but always come out to be losing. I have read several classical books, includes trading for a living, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator，The Adam Theory，Phantom of the Pits ... get some general idea about trading, momeny management, discipline, etc. I have also read a lot of posts on forexfactory & babypips regarding trading systems, even have my own system, and being much more patient && disciplined, I was still losing...

I keep adding and removing variable indicators combination, testing differenct trading strategy, I almost have tried whatever method existed for trading, support, resistance, candlestick pattern, momentum, fibonacci, higher low lower high, breakout,time filter, ea ... but nothing helps

A few days agao, I downed a very hot trading system on FF SonicR and wanted to give it a try, there was a vsa inidicator included on the chart template. mmm, vsa is something I never know. so I googled it and was guided to Trade Using VSA (Volume Spread Analysis) and finally find that Malcolm is a expert of VSA. I am so attracted by what Malcolm had explained on the chart (background, strength, weakness, stopping volume, no demand after effort to rise). It is just amazing and I am sure it is the key I have missed for so long.

I came from stock market where volume plays very important part on analysis, but I was misled by some artical saying that volume means nothing on forex market so I never paid attention to it before. I am so glad that I finally find the truth, again, it is volume.

Yes, this thread is almost dead, but the information it contain still helps, espcially those charts with comment, will continue to help many new comer to learning vsa.

I gave 2 short on EUR/USD 5 min yesterday, based on VSA volume climax down, both came out to be profit.

With VSA, I won't make a trade based on good news or bad newss but follow what professional traders do. When A wide range up bar present, I would check the volume behind the move + the change on subsequent move and volume, then make a decission. I still take some trades without professional trader on the move, espcially on asian session, but it has to be low risk with good potential, I sure will tighten the stop as it move, as I know the market could go against me any time , because it is not a professional traders driven move.

hey pres, good to see you back!

Attached is ES today, after NFP. There is stopping volume at expected support on the 15M. Although the bar closes up form its open, it closes down on the low relative to the previous bar given the big gap above. he next bar is also down. Would you consider this stopping volume that is not confirmed?
