Is anyone trading in this market?

I'd be interested to know strategy: scalping or long term, inter or intraday, time frame? I can't make heads or tails out of it, it's like swimming in a hurricane.

I take my direction from H4 and H1 then trade the m15 and m5 trends.

P.S. I don't listen to any news if I can help it, I prefer to trade mechanically using pure PA, it serves me very well.

I dont look at any charts lower than the daily

I pay attention to news releases, especially those which may affect demand for particular currencies. I dont use any indicators or even PA.

As you can see there are an infinite number of different ways to trade, there is no right or wrong way - you need to find a method which suits your own personality and expectations. Trying to study specific techniques is a waste of time until you study yourself, find out what works for you and what doesnt.

economics, macro and micro
the global financial system
forex market structure
correlations between markets, options, and forex
understand what the role of the usd is and what is reserve currency

understand what time frames are
understand moving averages
bollinger bands, macd etc....
im not saying use them but is good to understand why they were created and what they calculate

do you want to be a trader?

you should trade in all kind of market situations. If you can't trade it means you don't have enough knowledge (like me), it doesn't mean that there is something wrong with the market. Market is always right.
