Don't even worry about logic. Even if you started a couple years back with 5k (which would be a pretty modest sum of money) you should have a few million by now.

Anyways, I don't understand why you are on FF right now when you should probably be steering your yacht. Those things can get away from you rather fast.

Thank you... I would like to say more but the true market controllers have what I call, " The Watchers,". Agents whose job it is to haunt these forums and try to discredit anyone who will expose the, let's say, back room operations. When they can't do that your computer system will do so many strange things it will seem supernatural.

So, I hope people won't bust my chops when I say I cannot tell you exactly what I want to say but I will try to give some hints for those whom want to take the next step and investigate for themselves.

The best tool I have found for tracking market participants is a free indicator that comes with most metatrader platforms. It is the Bill Williams MFI index. Look in the metatrader user guide under technical indicators and pull up the description.

You must take it from there. I can say that it has nothing to do with Vsa analysis but but can help fill the gap that's created by having to use tic volume with Vsa analysis. The indicator can confirm or not confirm a conclusion reached by Vsa analysis.

Why am I here on this forum? Let's just say, I feel an imbalance in the force/s. I try to live my life based on the Hermetic principles and for the moment, a little help is what I must give to restore my share of the balance..

From time to time I will drop in on this thread to add a little more if the collective consciousness of the thread vibrates to that attraction. I fear I've said too much for my own good already...

In conclusion I'd just like to say that if anyone has another way of tracking the market players I would be appreciative as I am always looking to add to my accumulated market knowledge.
Believe me, I know there are much more important things than money, power and all that. Like I said, I am not interested in money. In my life I have had none and had much, and my mood was indifferent to both situations and all that was in between.

I also do not use a stoploss, because of deep pockets and there are ways to get out of the market without losing too much or nothing at all. This way I will not be caught by spikes.

But that still isn't an answer to my question. What is it that makes up your system?

Why does it keep coming back to my system?

The point of this thread was to see if people can back their actions up with logic. And so far I am unimpressed with the greater majority.

People seem so focused on WHERE to get in and out of the market, not WHY to get in and out of the market. When really they should go hand in hand.

The point I keep trying to get across is that a lot of short term success in the markets can be boiled down to luck. To make sure what you're doing is not attributed to luck, back it up with logic.

Luck? Dude, you are killing me.......you are joking right? There are a lot of successful traders in FF that trade completely differently from the way you trade. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY SUCCESSFUL TRADER IN FF!!!!!

I agree, I am not the only successful trader in FF and probably not the most successful by any means..

But you are definitely one of the most ignorant.

I never pitted my success against any sort of "lack of success" people might be experiencing. I just want to see to what degree of light people saw what they were doing while they were trading.

Yes, I came out of the gates strong, but I was just mirroring what most psychologists do after experiments: They tell their subjects they were "wrong", to see if they can back up their reasoning (the more upset they get, the bigger of an indicator they have that their reasoning was unjustified).

I also, never claimed to be successful by any means. You just assumed that. All I said was that I back my decisions up with logic, and for that reason my system will stay robust.

The logic that many systems are based on is that if something worked consistently in the past, it has a good probability of working now and in the future, too. Where's the flaw in this logic?

Understandable, all I can say is it takes multiple angles, assigns weights to them, and trades accordingly. I just didn't come here to pit my system against other systems. Just to do a small experiment (which is getting a little bigger than originally planned) and see what kind of responses I get.

The logic that many systems are based on is that if something worked consistently in the past, it has a good probability of working now and in the future, too. Where's the flaw in this logic?

The flaw seems to sit on the fact that there is no way to identify if that luck attributed to that success, and therefore it is hard to be confident that it will continue to work in the future.

I am not trying to say that some technical systems can not have some sort of logic rooted in them, however, some do not but can work for a given period of time.

Breaking down the systems and assigning some sort of logic to them is a way to differentiate the two.

Most people, I believe, mesh the two. Or confuse the where for their why.
