DislikedYes, that's the beauty of my exit strategy, its filters out all the noise and all the phony "reversals" that it encounters in its path until it finds the real end of the trend.

DislikedTrading IS that easy : just capture the trend on its way up/down, exit when the time is right. Minimize your losses when the market is choppy.
That's it.

DislikedHi almo,
With my secret and powerful exit strategy, I would have exited this long EUR/USD position 19 pips from the top. No I am not a genius, I just spent years and years looking at the charts for hours and hours trying to discover an optimal exit point for almost any type of trading system.
I think we all agree that the exit point is THE most important element of a trading system. In fact it has been proven that we can make money with purely random entry points IF we can define the optimal exit point after a buy or sell order has been...Ignored
DislikedYou've read a book and got the sage wisdom down, thats the essence actually doing it is different.
Time to prove it or move on or be honest!!Ignored
DislikedIn other words Turveyd wants me to do his homework for him!
Ok, I will give you a little hint about my exit strategy Turveyd. Here it is: What does the price has to do to NECESSARILY end and reverse a trend?
Pull those charts, study carefully every single trend reversal and maybe one day you will say "Eureka, but of course!"Ignored
DislikedNo I've got my method, still improving it but doing fine, my entry rocks my exit is a bit random but unlike you I haven't got a "secret" exit strategy which tells me a 100pip pull back is just a blip and to ignore it, I have an exit strategy for bigger trend multiple day moves.
There you go again, with the you know the secret, if you know it tell us it or your just another wanna be BSer who wants a little fan club but has likely like most of the ubers traders on here never even placed a live real $$'s trade.
No body is buying it, there...Ignored
DislikedI have absolutely nothing to sell in this forum, we are just here to exchange trading ideas, no more no less.
That said, and according to Turveyd, people who do not want to reveal all the details of their trading system (for obvious reasons) are all scammers, period.
Interesting point of view, to say the least.Ignored
DislikedIn the bold part you are utterly mistaken. Entries and exits are equally important. What you want is to measure the profits and losses. Those are THE most important element. Entries and exits are equal.Ignored
DislikedCustos, just like you I always thought that a good entry point was THE key to trading success. While it is true that a good entry point is important (it allows you to have the smallest stop possible) I can show that your exit point is, by far, much much more important!
Like I said earlier, it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you can create totally random entry points and STILL end up making money IF your exit points are optimal.
Tomorrow I will show you a few backtests that support this idea, I just need to find the books where...Ignored

DislikedThat was precisely my intention. I consider myself a rather patient man (and a trader needs to be patient anyway, and wait quietly for the right trading opportunity) but enough is enough. Thanks for the tip Nubcake.Ignored
