Good morning fellow traders.

How I see it EU may be in a correctional phase as we are still in uptrend. We could see 4330 tested again but afterwards we could see a jump.

4285 needs to remain strong for uptrend continuation.

My only trade atm is AUDUSD scalp

E: 1.0336
S/l:1.0100

TP: open ( some scaling out soon)

Why I put wider s/l for scalping? Because it is safer and it always can turn into an INTRADAY trade.

Good Morning all.
This is what I'm looking at the moment.
On daily we have a strong bearish engulfing pattern and we are right back into the triangle. Adding that a potential decision may be made within 2 weeks regarding debt ceiling in the US, that france AAA rating is challenged and that Germany has still made no decision regarding the €400bns bailout, all of this favour a move down.

I read on fxstreet that the move of yesterday was based on the rumour that 2 italian banks may go belly up and that due to low volume a lot of SL were hit at 1.444.

In essence, I don't see any upside any time soon unless we break 1.444

However, we are sitting right on top of the LTL (cf. chart - it has been bouncing along a few times this morning) and still within demand as long as we don't cross 1.432.

My plan of action: Below 1.432 (a strong support line) I would go short but I'll be careful of a good bounce back up at 1.428 or preferrably at 1.424
We are below DP at the moment. first target would be S1 at 1.4299 then S2 at 1.4219. If there is a bounce up, we may see 1.433 again.

Hope this makes sense, this is such a brilliant thread!

Yes we are seeing some sell off and now its hard to say where it will stop.

From my point of view. First major support is 4330, thats why you apply 8-10 pips s/l below it so for buy the dip 4322-20 is the s/l.

Another push through the stops brings us closer to 4300 4285 where another buy is possible.

This does not invalidate a further move down. I'll be more confident with longs if we reach 1.444
As Cloggie say, London generally gives the direction for the day - so hopefully he's right

It doesnt necessarily means London gives a general direction as US can turn the tide. Also when we are ranging its always better to play the range properly then blindly follow the trend bias.
