Hey Dave, tell the missus that I'm absolutely over the moon for her!! 23 days without a ciggy after a 50 a day habit!! She's cracked it now, me old mate, and it's good to see that you're still alive! I'm coming up to my 6th year, so if I can do it, SHE can!!!

EJ 1 hr large upper wick bounce off ms1/Mon's POC combo. 15 min had two lower wicks, waited for a solid neg close. 5 min lh close below 50 psych level. Short at 112.46. 50% out at just above S2 112.37, remainder out at BE +1.

Hi Ian
Nice trade, I was out, just got back in. Just wondering if I'd have considered the lh 2 candles earlier which took out the low of the small 15 min hammer.

Pity it never followed through a little more, but hey, last few days pips is pips!!

Yes it did, mainly with the decision, she got in her head that this time she did want to give up. I suppose like anything thats 90% of the battle.

Posted my D eur chart earlier. Heres my D ej chart with poss SR areas highlighted. At the moment we have stalled at the D S1 and W pivot combo.

Looks to me like we are headed lower TWT.

Just got back from lunch and walk and saw this.

EU 1 hr rejection of daily pivot, 15 min neg close, 5 min lh no lower wick, entry at 4442. Was mindful of recent support but that was taken out easily.
50% out at 4422 for +20, stop on remainder at BE+1.

There is space to fall further if Friday's high will give way.

Added on at 4421, 1hr still neg, another solid 15 min neg close, 5 min lh rejection of MS1, closed below 25 psych level.

All out too early at S1/4400 combo. Should have waited to see if 15/85 would play out. Never mind +6.3% on account for the day so I'm not really too upset.

Yes I did think about that. Probably being a bit conservative but I worry that if you do that before having a solid 15 min close you might get just triggered into a trade and then a reversal happens and you get another 15 min hammer which would suddenly make the trade look altogether different and much less appealing.

I suppose if you get a solid 5 min close below the hammer as in this case it's worth a shot. It would have given an entry about 5 pips better by my reckoning although that would have meant an entry above the 50 level.

Thats where things can get debatable. Are there degrees of hammers? If the 15 min hesitation/counter trend candle appears weak, small inside bar, small 15-ish pip hammer then I'd be more into continuing to trade the 5 min hl/lh trend. Especially if up for the day.

I see ej stopped right on the 111.48 S level posted yesterday. When they work they work like a charm.

At this stage eur, gu, ej and ec all have neg D closes. All have built bases after big US session drops. Asia as is often the case did not want to break those base levels.

EJ and ec appear better sells to me, D neg candles more in trend. Both eu and gu broke TL's to upside and have had reversal days, I don't see D chart divergence so don't know if this is a top.

I have an overseas visitor coming over for coffee and a trading chat. We are dangerously low on snacks so I have to pop out chop chop. He's here in 20 mins!!

Still not decided if eur base will hold or fail, the candles will make all clear, I think twt.
