Hello,
Many times to make a trading decision we need to be informed and why not, browse charts and look at different securities, investments etc. to get a clear picture of what's going around.
So I was reading today many articles about Eurozone contagion and sovereign debt crisis and stumbled upon an interesting chart, linked from a website to Bloomberg.
My question is: how can one know exactly how to find the ticker symbol on the bloomberg site (not terminal) for lets say Italian Government Bond 5 year yield? I know the required symbol is GBTPGR5:IND but how on earth can I find it prior to knowing it from the article that linked to that chart. So this is a matter regarding ones limitedness when browsing financial information and how to succumb it.
Is there a way people learn or find ticker symbols easier?
P.S. I tried writing different keywords in the bloomberg search field on their site but I just can't seem to find this govt bonds if you don't already know the full ticker symbol. So how do they do it? Am I missing something?
How could I find let's say, the Spanish bonds if I wanted to make a comparison??
Please, someone smarter, help me!
