Trade still down about 25 pips or so, but a little bit annoyed as the trade did get to break even last night but my trade manager I have on failed to close the 1st part of the trade and move to break even.

It would have ended up closing at break even for a 52 pip profit, so I hope I don't end up paying for that glitch

Trade is just moving back up into the positive with the stochs still heading in the right direction, hopefully I will be able to move my stop to breakeven today.

This trade is moving along very nicely...

the same glitch on the mptm also didn't close the 1st part of the trade at break even, however fortunately in this case the price was well past and I manually closed the 1st part of trade for 91.6 pips and moved the stop to break even +2 so nice little bonus with that one, and the price is very close now to being able to close the 2nd level of the trade (I have fixed the glitch) so will be letting this trade run now.

Well, I'm loving this trade, 2nd level of trade closed for 103.4 pips with the last part left to run. Jumping stop is currently at 150 pips

Until these trades are done with real money on a real live account they mean nothing. Anyone can make profits on a demo account. But you're deluding yourself if you think these results will be the same as on a real account. I hope for your sake they are, that would be fantastic. It's time to step into the real world and trade a live account, then you'll feel the emotions of profits and losses. I've not seen anyone who can duplicate their paper trading into real profits. Demo trading and real trading are worlds apart. I wish you all the best.

Actually tradercnx, I trade 2 live accounts and have done for a few years, so I am fully aware of the emotions experienced with not only profits and losses but also the devastation of blown accounts (which I clearly stated at the start of the thread), so please don't make assumptions.

I am demoing this strategy in preparation for integrating it into my live accounts and will do so when I am confident I am able to stick with the rules I have laid down for myself and I am satisfied that the strategy is viable on an ongoing basis.

As for being delusional, well you are entitled to your opinion, however this is my trading journal, it's not a thread where I am selling a system or encouraging anybody to try it, I am simply documenting my thought processes and results, both good and bad because I started it to help improve my discipline and to see if the strategy has legs. Time will tell, I will continue to post my trades and charts, both now in demo and when/if I decide to take the strategy live.

If I do go live, and it fails, you will be most welcome to return and say "I told you so".

I did not know you were live trading so I take it all back. That's great you're doing real trading and know what the games all about. It'd be really good if this strategy keeps on working the same in a live account.

Yes after all that's what this is all about, banking profits. I wish you well with the system, if it works in real time trading, which there's no reason why it can not if you keep emotions right out of it, then it'll be a great way to add to your trading toolbox. Have you thought about trading less pairs but trading heavier in say just one or two pairs?

Not at this stage, mainly because I intend to integrate this strategy into my live account where I already trade another shorter term strat, so I will be wanting to keep my risk lower when I go live.

I will probably limit my trades to 2-3 at a time on my live account so wanted to demo them all, to get a feel for how all the pairs move, however if live trading proves to be as successful as this demo I will probably trade this strategy more and less on the shorter term one.

This trade did move up and managed to get to break even, however retraced a few hours later to close at be+2.
