When I open a position on gold standard lot with igmarkets it's straight $100 gone out of window! This implies $10 a pip or 10 pip. Maybe the spread was low at this time. Try some other time but it should make that much diff. I'll speak to the IG guys.

6080....line in the sand...close above today and I'll be looking for long scalps despite my "gut feeling"....

I've never seen the spread bigger than this (0.5) - are you with IG Markets rather than IG Index this might make the difference since Index is gambling and Markets is trading , effectively .... err I think

edit - sorry just read your post again Ams - yeah you got the cfd one , that might be why

GU = 1 - 3 / EU 1 - 2 ( although I have seen 0.8 ) UJ 1 - 3 , majors all like that really , most trading at the wider part atm low vol. etc

close on the dot is not a positive sign ever. That must be treated as high/rally for the session! I was expecting 612xx atleast 20-30 pips above.

Let's see what news brings to the table...

I'm involved in a long - will see this line if I'm lucky sl 15950 ( I know what I said yesterday about daily - RR better now )
