Geo,
the sound point of this strategy style of trading is that you can take advantage of the market in its ranging and trending condition.. remember most times market is ranging or is at least direction less.. so to be successful IMHO one needs to know how to pull profit from both conditions to be a versatile trader.

Sell (using "test" entry) method

EDIT:- Not a good start, stopped out -19.5 pips, though PA looks like we might be making a trend change

Hello, I've just finished reading this thread, spent 2 weeks for it.
And it works well for me today, a safe trade resulting 10% equity growth.

Thanks for Kevinator for sharing. I'll post my live trade whenever possible for me to post.

Hi P.Dean, would you mind to explain to me how you get out for -7? because i took the same trade and out for -44 pips stoploss. i don't have any clear strategy for my stoploss. I'd appreciate your advice on this.

I was getting ready for lunch when I saw the first screen - it looked so so, I mean not good and not bad either. Made a long entry - and was catastrophic - London lunch time and effort to catch the very beginning of the next movement. I did'nt realise the Stochs were pointing down. I got my ass beaten. I was hoping for 1.2.3. to develop and pop in the wave.

I came back from lunch and got in for long again, took a lot of heat and seeing the bullish divergence decided to give it a try. Made 23 pips, took profit at .4300.

To recap. It is not always wise to get in as soon as potential signal is appearing. ...

I apologize for the hindsight charts but since I'm not a full time trader and work for an institution so it's kinda tricky to do both.

Will also try to post live as possible.


EDIT: There is one issue with QQE.

It does not repaint at all since the dots become visible. However... however... When you try to refresh the indi let's say you want to change color of the line or recall the indicator to see the settings and click OK - it changes position afterwards, recalculating after some candles appear.

So there are potential losses but hence we use the TMA, RF and the Stochastics it can yield some good/excellent results.
Ohhh, btw. I don't think I will enter the market in between London break again.

Hi Geobull

this is not according to any of the trading methods being used here.

Price is already at the OB TMA, for long, price should be at least below the mid-TMA, the other parts of the rules you got correct.

You may be lucky though...

A little clarification:-

I normally am not able to trade early in the week due to other commitments, therefore when using this system profitably in the last few weeks it has always been towards the end of the week, by which time the market was generally in an easily definable trend.

Therefore when previously trading I quite simply did not bother with the "shorter" term method which is more suited to ranging / breakout type markets.

Today (and yesterday) were more of what I term as range / breakout days, for a while they moved sideways (or slightly down/up) then suddenly exploded in a direction.

As I haven't been using the "shorter" term method available, I simply tried to trade today using MOM definitions, which didn't work and the market summarily kicked my ass.

Hence being found guilty of wanton neglect - the trading methodology here has two methods - I was guilty of trying to use the wrong method in the wrong market type.

Sometimes it's good to get your ass kicked, it makes the lesson easier to remember....

Could you please confirm that these are the non re-painting indi's that you are using and if not could you be so kind to post your tpl.....

Also in your charts i see the up/down indication for the stoch in the upper right corner of chart,how can i display that?

yes those are the correct non-repainting indicators

the arrows in the top r/h of screen are not part of this method, they are part of some experimental code I am testing out on trend detection based on HH/HL LL/LH.
