hi, i have question about gartley pattern,
i using indicator to help me find out the gartley pattern,

i found that the gartley pattern will keep changes following by the price. when it appear bearish gartley pattern is at price 1.43308 (POINT A), but after 1 days the price keep raising and gartley pattern shape change to another point at 1.44270.
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CghO_1bIhl...600/EURUSD.jpg

then after 2 days, the bearish gartley pattern stop at 1.44410 and price start going down. it mean i will lose money from point A to the new point around $750 (75pips) then start earn money to 75 pips.
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IkS7gfKSrt.../s1600/123.jpg

how to now a gartley pattern shape is stable or not ?

Software and indicators don't make you successful but the way you learn to trade does. I've been a member of FXGroundworks for a while now and plan to stay with them....they've taught me a lot.

Did you also join because of the "99moneyshow99" promo code? How much do you pay for the monthly subscription?

Yes, the main tool is a version of ZUP v76 or v84 or latest v93 monitoring 25 currency pairs on maybe 5 broker platforms and fed into the scanning software in the member's area. Of course they won't tell you how they tweaked the parameters on ZUP differently for their scanning, and for you to duplicate what they do with 5 broker platforms running multiple currency pairs is not practical. I think Derek Frey is more honest in his InnerCircle mentoring program to tell you about ZUP and Hurst Exponent. FXGroundworks wants you to think they have a special software ..... (but actually it was Nen's and mlen77's ZUP indicator).

Has anyone taken their harmonics certification course? I agree the indicator is just that, unless you are trained to know what to look for.

the indicator should only be ever used as a guide to the pattern set-up. you should draw the pattern manually, and put in the fibs that you require and then establish what your PRZ is, and then what your entry signal is, and where to place your stop (ie above X, or above the confirmation method).

i suggest that you get Pesavento and Carneys books to understand harmonics. Trading with just the indicator without understanding the principles will destroy your account. the indicator will repaint but this wont be a problem if you already know the basic principles involved and are prepared ahead of time by having drawn your own pattern and the possible alternatives
Catching a falling knife, no, I'm just trading the Gartley!

I highly recommend the two latest books by Scott:

Harmonic Trading, Volume One: Profiting from the Natural Order of the Financial Markets
. FT Press; 1 edition (April 22, 2010)

Harmonic Trading, Volume Two: Advanced Strategies for Profiting from the Natural Order of the Financial Markets
. FT Press; 1 edition (May 17, 2010)

Very few people read a book, let alone research the full materials going back to 1935 from H.M. Gartley, Bryce Gilmore, Michael Jenkins, Larry Pesavento, Scott M Carney. So getting the lastest 2010 two books above is a good way to catch up.

For me, the indicators I use are:
ZUP v93
WRR_ZUP_INFO v02
Search_Patterns v6
and if you are taught by Derek Frey you would add Hurst Exponent or iVAR.

both kor and zup are very good.... and as their algo's are calculated a little differently you can see a variety of patterns appear on a chart which may be supportive or contradictory

i tend to prefer Kor as it has some nice little extra features that zup doesn't, like continuous ab=cds, but don't construe that as a dislike of zup, it can be quite effective as well.

after a period of a few months practice you wll be able to see the patterns quite easily, without needing any indicator, but always useful to have it on just in case

you do need to be aware of what pivot they take X from, as this is critical, even more so than the fib conflunce at D (prz).

but again i will say, that unless you have pesavento and carneys books as references then the indi's will not be as effective for your trading arsenal, try the following links as well, for basics

Yes it's drawn by hand, I don't use indicators.
I believe this is the best way to trade, aply the rules and draw it yourself, that's the only way u'll learn and prevent from being trapped and end up losing money. When i'm in doubt i do nothing and wait, and always keeping the big price pattern in mind.

Cheers

it means Asia tonight, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, whatever the time is required to rally the 70 odd points from where it is now...

i don't even bother trading asia as it's not a money centre

not sure where in asia you are, but only 1.40pm here...
