I am sure it 'works' for them but when you buy it, it will be next disappointment.
I used myriads of 'profitable' EAs but they not worked for me and for others. At least what I know.
Logic here. How can you sell a thing for a couple hundred bucks that makes millions in profit? My friend bought EA for discount appr. $3,000 (original $5000)
and as a result he said that not EAs work. He spent a lot of money on EAs.
Another logic. Why do I have to sell a chicken that lays golden eggs?
This is just my 5 cents and my personal opinion.

This EA backtesting from Jan2011 to June2011.
earns ~20% per month.

I've seen equity curves like that before, they're highly characteristic of Martingale systems. In fact, just look at the size plot underneath the equity curve. You can see plain as day how the size ramps up and drops. Martingale.

They work right up until you blow up.

If having small account to risk, it is worth to try.
Once it is doubled, you withdraw half and since then
no risk at all.

I agree, and I've thought of doing the same thing myself. Basically the margin call is your stoploss and your balance is your max risk.

Since this is the noob section these problems should be pointed out though, lest someone put their life savings into one of these.

You're right. It is kind of martingale but I try design it so that death trades are avoided. You just take a normal martingale EA and run it over Jan to Jun market actions, basically normal martingale EA facing the death trade sooner but not this EA.

I hope I found a way how to tame the beast.

Yes, you got it.
Idea behind is not to loss money. Every month withdraw 20%.
So with gain of 20% per month, your risk is reduce for every month till you start gaining without further risk.

First month, risk of 100%
2nd month, risk of 80%
3rd month, risk of 60%
4th month, risk of 40%
5th month, risk of 20%
by 6th month, you start earning 20% and let the beast continue..

BTW, all investment is about taking risk.

What make this different from the rest of my other martingale system is I include the money management inside.
Most martingale are aggresively gain and this will face death trades sooner. No point to gain 100% in one month and loss 100% in another month.

Most people are just afraid of martingale because of the death trade.
But I found one behaviour of martingale is it works very fine if you get it goes along the trend. IF your system had high probability in determine the correct trend, you just get the answer how to tame the beast!!

EAs are becoming less popular because of scams. If you can make your own EA then fine otherwise commercially available EAs hardly work. Nowadays managed accounts or signal following is becoming popular.

I think Robots are CRAP!!!!!! I ran the gauntlet and spent around 400$ on Robots that I checked and researched about, I picked three of what seemed to be the best ones!

All of them lost money, all the MT4 back test where +500% gains! IMO just learn to trade the right way! All Robots loose! And with people selling signals, some around 197$ I’m not sure what would be the best approach into gaining an edge!
