Im doing pretty good on the demo, not that it matters it only pisses me off mostly:

As i looked through the options for the explorer i just realized noone but me can see it, i thought everyone could see it. That sort of was the point with it, well fixed that. Made it so only buddies can see stops/TPs though, dont want any freeloaders, if they can only see the entry they cant see the structure of the logic of when to exit.

See specifically gravitation between zones.

Thats a really complex question. If you get a simple answer to that question the person hwo gave it have no clue what they are doing.



I dont use indies with the settings they are supposed to be used because they have little use to me that way. Meaning i cant use them for tools to make more money. So if i use a keltner channel its because it can make me more money, in some way, some day, or at least thats what i think.

Both Keltner channels and Bollinger bands it would seem, was made to show when price breaks out of them you are ment to enter in that direction. I have used both these indicators and i cant see why you would want to do that, meaning i couldnt see how you could make that work, and believe me, i have tried. I have used the normal settings, the not so normal, the very strange and specific, and a lot of different settings that different people and different systems use, and still i cant really see why anyone would want to use either keltner channels or bollingerbands.

For as it seems, i actually need to enter the trade before it breaks the bolly or keltner if its used in the normal way. Technically and statistically i cant see how anyone would be profitable doing otherwise.

Now, that doesnt mean there is no use for a Keltner channel or Bollinger band. But it probably must be used in a bit more clever way or at least another way then the normal one.

What i usually do is try to figure out what it is i want to indicate to myself, and then i tune an indie to show that. If i dont know anything specific that i want to indicate to myself, then there is no need for the indicator.

So with all that in mind, and you probably want to read all that twice or more before we go on: For what i was using the Keltner channel to indicate "going away in a significant manner", Euro/USD H4 was best. If the exact settings i made for it is used for any other timeframe or financial instrument, i cannot say what it is you are indicating, or why you would want to do it.

Though as you can see, im not using the Keltner channel, im instead imagining what bank people think as they look at price. On top of that i look at levels of S/R. As im doing this i dont have a need for the Keltner channel any more. Its very easy going also not to have indies in my chart since then i can switch between the frames, lets say go in to M15, back to H4 and such without screwing up any calculations. It should be noted that i just broke up with my wife so im not trading from home, im at a friends place so i dont have 2 screens right now. But alas my friend, back to trading. Here is kind of what im thinking, and as you can see i have no keltner channel for now:

I think automated/mechanical trading is not possible to do profitably without insider info. Some people on this forum would disagree but i havent seen any evidence to contradict my position on this, only things that verify my position.

That means there is no indie, set of indies, or "system", EA, black box or artificial intelligence that you can trade profitably using a set of rules that you do not break. I might be wrong, but until i see evidence of otherwise thats what i think. If you have no inside info that is.

WITH inside info on the other hand its very easy to frontrun deals, sell short when long orders end and vice versa, follow the order books, things of that nature. For that very easy or more advanced mechanical systems can be used. Or just have people do it which is easier in the short run, if it is the case that they have enough reaction speed to do it.

I'm using indicators the most of time if they could give me a picture when I have to wait and it give me a lot of signals where I could make up my mind wait a little longer for a better entry or exit chance. So I focus at first at the waiting chance. Making Profit is more a task of timing, money- & risk management to a lesser extend which indicator I use. Forex Literature make you think how important it is to use indicators. May be it's more for fullfilling the brokers pocket.

Erh, ok might not be afternoon yet here, but in Tokyo it is!

13:04 Done trading for today, i need to be off.

For instance right now i dont feel enough concentrated to trade money so im working on the demo and keeping my senses keen.

Anyway these days i dont so much ask myself if a see an opurtunity to trade or not, its more a question of if im focused enough to trade. Sometimes its a little more taxing to trade though, at really tight ranges with little liquidity.

*Dont trade breaks of 100 pip S/R

I wonder how this works. I seem to be able to use EMA 21 on E/U M1, i really am fascinated by the question if there are some people with a lot of money who is looking at it and taking at least some decisions with respect to it. Another alternative is that there is no such people looking at it, but rather that its an unconscious function of how price behaves. Like Atheer1, i could probably trade without indies, but it would take a few more months to get there, perhaps until christmas. Its very possible i could see other things if i did. Its also very possible i would not see some things.

There is something funny with price today, its like its in a soup of sludge.

Seeing as this is a day knee deep in sludge when it comes to price, i might as well get something done and make a thorough analysis of my first trade, since i expect quite some time before the next considering the sluggishness of price right now there should be ample time.
