after seeing your screensnap shot i made a brief video that may give some ideas for use of properties on mt4 for some traders
the possiblility of using an indicater for the square as a second dashboard
i discuss in this video using the squares 2 setting or dashboard indicaters as adjuncts helping main screen keep tidy is a futur possibility

the original dollar index we did as an indicater was not related to gold
but in light of maybe gold being a relacement in the future as the standard not the USD This may be a future project
but untill that time the dollar index corelation is tied to the US DOLAR NOT GOLD

the corelation between gold and the dollar index historically is well known

but this indicater was developed using the base US DOLLAR as at present we have no reason to change

but a valid point for the future maybe black gold gold silver or another new currency as yet it seems a way off to guesse the new corelation currency or comoditie in my opinion

i could be wrong

the spread sheet was used to test whatif theorys of forex trading
so what if ideas you use opens up your mind to possibilities
as the spread sheet can use several different demos running from one brker it has great future possibilities for all that use it to test there theorys raoidly and trading ideas

these can then be reprogramed into mt4 as tradefor fun has done so well

Also Brijon, this sunday there is big EURO news ( final talks about lending money to greece again ,for the debts of Greece)

will you change your strategy at all when you know this news could be big chage in direction for any currency. or will you set limited orders?

the arrows i made in the EA were for the weekly. but the one i am working on now will also include the daily.

so it gives a red arrow when the now price is lower then yesterdaysclose and green arrow when price is higher then yesterdays open.

THIS IS A STRATEGY FOR YOU TO TEST ON THE FOREX GIVEN TO ME BY A FRIEND WHOS DOING ANEA FOR THIS RANGE READER STRATEGY I LOOKS INTERSTING TO COMBINE WITH BOSUNS AND THE SQUARE ECT
SCALPING STRATEGY

use the 1 minute chart of the nearby TF market. No other indicators are used on this chart (chart 1).
The second chart used beneath the first is the 45 period of the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) value. This indicator is provided free of charge by most trading software vendors such as Tradestation and the like. Set the CCI to calculate the average high plus low if possible. Set your CCI range lines for a -200 for buy signals and +200 for sell signals
The Set-up
The alert bar (chart 3) is established when the CCI value line crosses below -200 for a buy and above +200 for a sell. Once this occurs focus your attention to the 1 minute chart. Now you’re looking for the commitment of the trade (chart 4). A buy commitment occurs when the TF trades 2 tics or .20 above the lowest high. A sell commitment occurs when the TF trades 2 tics or .20 below the highest low. If the market continues to trade with lower highs in the case of a buy signal, just wait for the market to trade 2 tics or .20 above the lowest high before placing your order. Likewise, if the market continues to trade with higher lows, just wait for the market to trade 2 tics or .20 below the highest low.
Likewise, in the case of a sell, I place a sell stop 2 tics or .20 below the highest low of the last one minute bar that has completed trading. In fast markets this requires strict attention in order not to miss the trade.
Risk vs. Reward
Set your profit target at .80 for your stop orders. Your protective stop should be set for 1.40 or 14 tics based off the stop entry.
Adjust Stop
Move your protective stop to a .90 stop loss from the stop entry price when the market has moved .50 in your favor but has not touched your profit target. Also, move your protective stop to breakeven if profit target is touched and you were not filled.
"Get It Back" (GIB) Trade
If the 1.40 stop loss is hit, you can re-enter the trade in the same direction if the following conditions are met:
1) The CCI must give a new signal and,
2) No more than 30 minutes have elapsed from the 1st trade and
3) Your entry point must be equal to or better than the protective stop on your 1st trade.
Our profit target on the "GIB Trade" is equal to what we lost on the 1st trade. This recovers our previous loss and brings us back to breakeven for the 2 trades. If we had a .90 loss in our first trade, our profit target is .90.
Each time the CCI crosses the zero line, the trade that follows is considered a new signal with a profit target of .80. This is not a "GIB Trade". Regardless of trade direction, when the CCI crosses zero all recovery trade opportunities are cancelled.
Trading Observations
Do not trade in the first five minutes of the market opening (8:30-35 CST).

i think this range reader strategy could be combined as it produces some great results on cfd market trading for the forex

by using brainstorming and group discussion i think ideas will flow to utalize the basic strategy with some modifications

the more become involved and testing i think this will help many

i mentioned to my skype group limit orders using bosun lines and his position averaging is just non stop making me money perhaps the method is too simple but off course ideasfrom others always increase our success

so maybe an ea that enters on the bosuns lines with the hh ll of the square 48 and the cci will be an inprovement in the future

limit orders in them self with the aid of the bosuns lines and pos averaging are in fact an easy way utalizing the swap intersest to earn great money in my opinion

but the more we learn from others and not be complacent with our current methods the more consistant oursuccesful trading becomes over the long term


markets change over time old habits die hard so always we strive through helping otheres achieve success we become more succesful

through ideas and knowledge , by giving we gain 1000x more than we gave

i am from the Netherlands. that small place cross the pound. Paul is hard at work to fix the very hard stuff like GMT time and alarm etc.

he is doing a wonderfull job. he basicly kicked out my messy code and fixed it for a wonderfull clean code. it looks incredible so far. just for me very hard to understand at the moment. i am simply now trying to understand how he codes it.

also my brother using your bosun lines is now around +1900 pips in 3 weeks. first week he added lot of wrong orders because of misunderstanding of your strategy.

i included the zip file in here, with the statement so everybody can check it out. this from my brother, but it shows brijon his strategy really works.

yesterday he added limited buy orders and those are now well into profit.

actually if my brother had not placed the wrong orders in the first week. his drawdown would only have been around - 100. incredible.

also Brijon, thanks for adding the indicator of multipair and all the other info.

So far so good, account is up in 1 week 2600+ pips.

here is another account i am testing the samething on, but only with the six pairs Brian recommended..the account is up in 1 week 1800pips...all just using Brians idea of hh/ll and busun lines.

my grandfather came from gronigen in holand , when i was young i spoke english dutch and german. these days i speak mainly english and polish at home so like all languages if you dont use them we loose them

i still speak german only due to the fact i worked in austria for a while in the 80s and have many german friends

im glad that paul is helping us . i think when its finished we will a true piece of art helping all of make more profits

yes limit orders and bosuns lineshh ll make life easier for trading knowledge and learning from others helps us all in sharing

i think when we finaly see the best of the excell 3 entrys for trend idenification on mt4 it will help enormously on faster identification of great trades focusing our attention on the trend of currencys now in my opinion

we should never be complacent on succesful systems but ongoing learning from each other as markets change economic conditions
make us flexible and ajust to new ideas and the chanhing ongoing market

the abilty to adapt fast to the market is one of the greatest strenghts one can have in my opinion , learning from others , old habits die hard especially for me , its one of my weaknesses but i endevour to change
with the market , i think its important to keep learning from others

Some nice results coming in showing there is good potential for this system.

Here's another thing you guys can try, see how it flies...

When profit is due, rather than closing the whole position, leave a small part of it on and set SL to break even (or a few pips up) on the remaining position. These 'free' trades, especially those opened at significant HHs LLs can soon grow quite large. Aside from additional profits, they also provide a good stable offset to the DD.

I tried this on a small account 4 or 5 weeks ago and up to yesterday I had 3 or 4 small positions left on which were up by 200 to 350 pips EACH.

These were initially 0.02 lot trades and I closed half when profit was due leaving 0.01 on. The combined value of 3 or 4 such positions was about 20% of account balance and really help offset the DD.
