Yep Asian session treated GU kindly this am, beaut hl's and 85/15 trade.

The TDI is as I understand it close to the fozzy indi (8rsi with 8 ma onto it) and gives similar signals to tdi. I used fozzy on all time frames years ago. So theres nothing new under the sun, fancy indi's included.

I am still deciding how to incorporate the 4hr synergy candles without going to big stops (and therefore much smaller lot size). Might simply...

Mrs V (yes she of don't change a thing fame 20 pips bank hall of Fame) is warming up to the idea of a tweak.

I've attached a screenshot of 4hr Trading made easy (HA synergy candles + TDI - whatever that is) and the old fozzy cross 8 rsi 8 sma that I used for ages (but never 4hr) with normal candles. 8 lwma on each chart.

The idea being to use these 4 hr turns into medium trends much more effectively than our in and out in 20 mins. Truth be told its prob no more than actually applying our exit rules ie after head fake look to let go to 125 pip run. Mrs V cannot shake the 20 pips bank thingie no matter how much I speak to her. These 4hr set ups have made her sit up and take notice.

Anyway idea is to use the 4 hr turns, enter as we normally would do here and letting run to get more then 20-30 which has been typical lately.

I know so many things in trading are either duplicated or just plain unnecessary, I was more guilty than most with indi's overload in my youth.

A classic example of duplication that I've said before is the rsi same number as ema eg if you are above the 20 ema you are above the 20 rsi's 0 line.

Doh! With the trading made easy thread getting about a brazilian visits a day (is a brazilian more than a gazilian, I think so!) I am looking at KISS. It seems a straight forward method. Do you need tdi, or fozzy cross? Or is medium term trend as easy as a closed candle above below 4hr 8 lwma?

I wanna have an ea written sell it for $1000 a go and someone finds out its a cross of 8 lwma on 4hr!!!

Can trading trend really be that easy. When I describe trend I'm still looking for relatively short term but yes prob longer than my current trades!!

Anyway you could knock me over with a wet kipper at the mo. Whilst entries will be taken exactly as per this thread when a cross of 4hr 8lwma is achieved we'll be looking closely as to how they will impact the trade.

All entries will taken as normal ie hl/lh, 2b's here and there, evening/morning stars and even the occasional flag. What this will do for counter trend stuff remains to be seen.

V, regarding the wait 20 mins rule...is that 20 mins between 1. entry and re-entry (or) 2. exit and re-entry?

For me if there is a system that makes trading easy ... it is yours. Even if I'm still far from mastering it, my trading has already improved a lot.

Nothing is redundant here. No lagging oscilators, no indicators which mostly put people in the confusion. The trend is set by higher TF close and PA is doing the rest. Simple and beautiful.

There was several nice trades on EU today, I had just time to take one.

1H negative close, negative pin bar on 15M and 8LWMA cross on 5M. The only hesitation was the 1.43000 RN and the Daily Range which was well above the ADR, but the trend was strong.

First half closed for + 12, second for +19 pips.

20 mins from a peak, so on days when it holds true you'll get a nice 4 candle (of course can be more) hl/lh wave for another entry. I'm sure I've posted some specific charts on this in last few days if not here then definitely on blog.

Yes when you get those very strong days, might only be a couple of days a month, but when they are there (Y obviously was) just sell everything. Kind of days when small rallies just keep on getting sold.

I see they are having a few arguments (about indicators) over at the Kelvinator thread. Hmmmm.........meanwhile, it is nice and peaceful and sane here, as it always has been! Nearly 300 pages coming up V. (and Mrs V.) and every one of them great stuff.

Nice idea that thread but I've already deleted it from my list.

My only thing here is you can debate how good is a candle, some are clear some not so.

3 threads I now watch this one (dooh!) psych levels (no surprise there) and 4hr trading made simple/easy. I've even dusted off my old fozzy indi and searching for fozzy ea I had written. Still thinking looking at charts on application of 4hr method but pretty much decided on way forward.

Hi T, glad to hear your trading has already improved. I have eur and gu on my left screen with 1hr 15 min and 5 min, will trade exactly the same as normal.

I have eur, gu + 7 currencies 4hr charts on right screen. If they signal (ie fozzy cross and above/below 8lwma) I'll then move to 5 min charts for entries as I do now (lh/hl, double tops/bottoms, star patterns, some 2bs, some flags). Its just a tweak of 1hr to 4hr enabling other currencies to get watched.

It'll be interesting to see how this experiment goes.

I think this is only the 2nd real tweak (1st was 15 min coming in) since thread started.

Sounds great V ! Does it mean that you are going to let your trades (or at least part of them) run until the 4H fozzy croses back or changes the angle suggesting trend weakness ?

Hey pgd, Fozzy is a guy who introduced trading system similar to that on Trading Made Easy thread. He uses an indicator based on RSI and EMA cross, which gives very similar signals to TDI used in TME. Hope it helps :-)
