I still use this during slower market periods during the year. I would be careful if big news breaks out like the NZ earthquake or sovereign debt stories. The system can usually handle all the normal news stories.

That is my goal for this system, I always feel like I will need multiple systems for different types of markets and this one will fit perfectly in a slow market, as long as an eye is kept on the DD and any major news stories coming out for the week.

Hi all,

yes I was also using them and would like again since my account has some more room on ibfx.au but the tp sl handling should be really modified. I cant make it manually because its too much to look at with 6 accounts and more manual trading I am doing, also with 1cent per pip its too much to keep an eye on, I hope some of the coders can spare some seconds, would be really gratefull!

If someone could adopt to ibfx.au?

Probably you have to reset the SL and TP to 0 and use the MPTM to set your SL and TP. That is what I have to do with IBFX now.

Why not just open L1 at the first 90 pips, then open L2 when price touches 180MA, L3 when price touches 270MA using multiplier of 3 for recovery trades. Then ride the trade back to the 80 MA for TP. If price runs within the bands, use recovery 10.0 to get to BE. Would this not be more profitable and less DD?

I will be posting an update using 10.0, I have live tested the new version and it is doing very well. 2 levels 300 pip range EA then jump to 10.0. Works great. Also included is a hedging strategy if you need to do that.

I'm interested in trying this EA. What is the most recent version. I see on the first post that it says page 213 post# 3184 to 3192. is the most recent version. Is that still the case?

Also before trying it out I would like to know what kind of results to expect. Those of you who are using it what results are you getting? Has anyone posted a recent graph of equity curve ?

I plan on having my newest upgrade version added on this weekend. It will also contain a recovery section which will help the run aways when they happen.

yep, looking forward to it. I've been trading manually for a long time but getting interested in EAs now so looking forward to trying this out. The graph in post number 7 looked impressive but I guess it's been through a lot of changes since then?

Does anyone know of an ea that will close all positions on a currency when price reaches the 80ma? I traded this system manually last week and closed all positions when price retraced back to 80ma and had great success. Up 10% trading .01 per 1000

I have a close only program that will close all open trades on a currency. You set the close to whatever you want and then place on the screen and it will close all the trades when it hits a certain point you have programmed into the EA. Just let me know what the 80MA is suppose to be and I can set one up for you.

OK this EA when dragged onto the screen of currency pair will close all the trades of that pair when the bid hits the 80 MA line. It also will work on all TF so if you switch TF and the line is crossed it will close the trade. If you only want it to work on one TF I can change it for you or you can change it if you wish. The code looks like this:

double CloseBuy1_1 = iMA(NULL, 0, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);
double CloseBuy1_2 = iMA(NULL, 0, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);

double CloseSell1_1 = iMA(NULL, 0, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);
double CloseSell1_2 = iMA(NULL, 0, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);

The number 0 marked in red is the TF for the code you can change it to:

PERIOD_H4, for only use on a 4H chart. Which means you can switch TF but the EA only will close based on the 4H chart. If you put H1 there it will work based on the 1H TF and so on. That code would then look like this:

double CloseBuy1_1 = iMA(NULL, PERIOD_H4, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);
double CloseBuy1_2 = iMA(NULL,PERIOD_H4, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);

double CloseSell1_1 = iMA(NULL, PERIOD_H4, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);
double CloseSell1_2 = iMA(NULL, PERIOD_H4, 80, 1, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_MEDIAN, Current + 0);

I have not tested this on the MA80 yet but it should work since it worked on the MA numbers I did have.

The range trading system 10.0 is coming along. I thought I had more free time than I did but I forgot Sunday was Father's Day but my children did not. SO they took me out for dinner and night out on the town. I will try to finish the early part of the week.

Do not use the 80 MA close ea. I just placed the close buy ea on my chart which had a buy order currently running, and the ea closed the order about 80 pips away from the 80 MA. I had changed the code to close on H1 only but the ea still closed the order along way from the 80 MA on the H1. I guess I should of tried this on demo first
