Im sure since you have 6 journals you have heard "The Trend Is Your Friend' & " Sell The Rally, Buy The Dip"........so put them together and 1+1= PIPS! Trading is not hard...learning to manage your money properly is!

Well actually, as you can see from my 6 journals, I do find trading hard, in fact I find it extremely hard, like most people here. It's all very well to to come out with Trend is friend, buy the dip, etc etc, but to apply this is in real time, not hindsight is very difficult for most people.

But this is not the thread to discuss this. This is a fun, light, entertainment thread. Feel free to post in my journal.

When you can put the money aside, that means your not out looking for this amount today and tomorrow, and just trade with a few well planned entry methods then you will find it start coming too you. Too often, if fact far to often there are people who are out to make this today and tomorrow. They set all the criteria and are seldom flexible and when things do go the way they want ie they string some losses together, they either
1) revenge trade (because I have to be right sooner or later),
2) change there method (start setting wider stops to stop getting stopped out (alot of stops there) and shorten their profits so they get hit more often
3) they go in search of something that works because their current method shouldnt have every had a loss because they got it from somewhere that stated 99.9% win rate (but not Merlins cause this method really does work)

All of them want more than they can achieve to soon. Hold some trades for a week and see how easy it is to build a small portfolio. You will take some losses here and there like any trader does but having some long term growth to help offset some short term losses is one of the least stressful trading approaches.

I dont understand, Brunite. Since your 'short' Gbp/Jpy went -400 pips then +490.

Huh?

Call was made at red crosshairs. Price went up for awhile giving many opportunities to load up and ride price down to the target I had!!

The sell on yesterdays chart was one of those.

The point is.......price DID go to the target I called!

THAT is AMAZING!!!! Right???

You could've called any price level in that 490pip range and post when it hit. A target of 135 wouldve been cooler. lol

Price went up for "a while"? If that was real, your MAE is over 4 times MFE. Its amazing that's a strategy.

The CFTC has just banned the Amazing Strategy for US traders!

They state that their reason for this is to "protect the American public, namely the lower to upper-middle class, from too much money and ensure a fairer, safer and more regulated Spot FX trading environment inside American borders. As per this new bill, the only individuals and institutions allowed to acquire authorization to implement the Amazing Strategy™ in their Spot FX trading activities are those who are already rich and, thus, smart enough to never harm the US economy".

There are traders all over the world not only from US, so no worries..

How to determine when it is the high or low of the day, only know that when the day is over.

Guys.....really its not that hard...throw a CCI on like 3 TFs....watch it till the CCI is between -100/200 or +100/200 on 3 TFs you are watching and then place a limit order at the next pivot higher or lower depending on if the CCI is +100/200 or -100/200..........STOP LOOKING FOR THE HOLY GRAIL and LEARN TO TRADE.....Risk:Reward is there since your looking to gain the daily range of that pair, so you MUST know how to manage your money properly

Look at Friday's chart.

You can easily see the high and low of the day.

You could have seen it just as easily Friday.
