OK but I didnt come up with this idea, its all in MTM, and you need to know this stuff like the back of your hand if you want to be successful.

What you wrote here is interesting pres78. I can see a climactic action and it's confirmation when the next bar is an upbar. But then I'm trying to find immediately a NS bar. So you say that I should first look for other SOS like Mark up move, test on high volume or so?

Hey john, Im no vsa veteran, my skills are still pretty novice compared with the likes of others here. But i see improvement everytime I read MTM and apply the refined knowledge to the charts. Just keep reading it and be patient, it will make sense and you will gain confidence.

well naughty your better than me so that makes you a pro in my book! besides every thing your saying is spot on brother

dvarrin..no , no disciple..r u kiddin' me! lol..im as green as you! but i know enthusiasm and drive when i see it..and brother you are hungry to learn!! most guys wouldve quit by now..but not you..that speaks volumes about the kinda guy you are!! i need a partner and since were both going the same way we may as well travel together, if ya like! but we have alot of ground work to cover first before we can even anti-up in a coversation with these guys! its gonna take time, and alot of it..but before ya know it you'll be calling trades left and right and some other guy will come along and you'll be able to tell him "go read MTM"!!! LOL..sounds good right?

I don't trade Gavin's 3 bar set-ups / sequences but he has the right idea. Most of his sequences start with some sort of climatic action and then he looks for 2 other confirming matching SOS or SOW. The problem is in say a strong market a "SOW" like an UT or what looks like a selling climax can occur and sometimes you may even get a downbar next but if you trade only this 1 SOW it will quite often get taken out by the strength as we are seeing SM taking a break after attempting to absorbing supply before continuing on up. We see that all the time... what looks like a stop to the up move which ends up being a weak retrace as SM marks down to buy back in and trap some shorts etc...

That's exactly what I wanted to say. This first SOW could be a break from the SM and we could see ND after it and go short while the SM is absorbing supply before continuing up. But what tells us that SM is actually still bullish? Why would I wait to go long when I see a SOW in the background? What could/should happen in the price action to turn our mind from bearish to bullish?

price is now above the trigger zone.I hope it will go up to 84.00 vpoc line soon

heres the trade i took today....i missed the big drop but..after the run the trend is clearly down so at my skill level i wouldnt even think about a long trade until i saw price move up, come back down and test..then id need to see some other form of strength..so short or nothing for today!!! price retraced and the 30m TG showed ND , first chart! (im posting using MT4 cause i havent figured out how to post TG charts yet) Now i knew this was a riskyer trade because we had already had all that action and it was at lunch time(US)..chances are if it went , it would not be for much!!! after the 30m ND and this is with almost all TG signals..you have to wait for the next bar to close for confirmation of the previous bar...this is what i believe pres is saying as well!!! just because you see a ND you have to wait for the following bar to finish to confirm that ND most of the time! the next bar closed down , so i shorted w/ tp @ 30 pips! but lookat the next chart..on the 10m TF(this is 15m) TG posted a no supply , then a test!! this was where i decided to close! a modest 15 pips but still a winner...moral of the trade was..1) i only traded with the trend @ my skill level..2) i waited for confirmation of the entry signal ...3) i managed the trade by dopping to a lower TF....i didnt close just because of no supply, but a NS + TEST was my que!..now it may fall further but since it was a risker trade to begin with ill humbly take my 15 pips and go back to my cave!

of course les paul we would be glad to have you join us...just please keep anything not directly related to vsa in PM's..best regards , john
