Sometimes I miss the simple thing right in front of me. I was waiting for the price to get closer to the trend line before I took a short. Yet, shorting that UT would have been the smart thing to do. Hindsight . . . sigh.

EU reaction to NFP was classic and SM signs were there if one waited for the dust to settle... 20-30mins after their intentions were clear... they did their job shaking the market both ways before heading up.

5min chart is all that was needed to follow their plays...

A= Selling Climax ( But the next bar is not up)
B= I Dont have an idea.
C= Shakeout
D= Test in a rising Market
E= No idea

I would look for no supply // test near the broken resistance.

I think that B as well as E are No Supply bars.

Have a nice weekend.

Anybody knows what the momentum indicator in Tradeguider is based on?

How do we mesure the flow in momentum?

And VSA is not only way to make money.
You can make money even with trendlines or with indicators.
Isn`t that nice?

2 highs and 2 lows, and then copy lines to coming highs/lows.
Easy.

Good weekend to all.

It is a mind game.
SM uses knowledge of herds behaviour, greed and fear.
Example, price is going slowly up...up..up...up, slowly, herd is not sure yet if this gonna go up...they are still waiting...and then comes long bar...everybody jumps in and SM starts selling...crowd has opened trade at the worst place...then comes long down bar...herd dont want close...they are hoping and praying that price is coming back...price is going slowly down...herd is thinking...okey no worries...only small bars...down...down...slowly...and then...long down bar...herd closing trades at the worst place and SM is buying.

Good example.
This is only retrace, we are going up...so many times it looks like that we are going up...after that fifth arrow, price is going down, then herd start to think, shit, maybe this is not gonna go up, lets see, I`ll wait with my short...big down bar, herd sells and are happy, I was right, this is going down...small up bars...okey, it is only retrace, I`ll sell more here...

Next bar after that shakeout is NS. That would be great place to take long.

Only way to stop this, is that they do not show volume.
And there are stocks, futures and so on.

I think if it was that much of a threat it would get closed automatically by FF, like they did with Darkstars thread 'Oh sweet liquidity' when he started revealing the loopholes he had discovered in broker structure and orderflow and what not. But any how, all one needs is MTM and patience and screen time to master this, the answers to success are not in this thread, (although it has been very helpful to me) they are in ourselves.

I think it is same with VSA than with any other strategy/system.
90-95% lose their money, few % makes good living from it and maybe 1-2% makes fortune.

If you get long there, more power to you.

As for me, my belief system tells me that one element of the retail trader's edge derives itself from fact that markets trend. I have my particular ways of defining trend or what I call Chart Mode. But looking at the chart presented, the trend is down on that entry.

The Shakeout makes a lower low while the bars are red. The market can't be in an up trend if it is making lower lows. Evidence is mounting that the market is at the very least going into an transition phase, so it would be legitimate to not get short, but going long is counter trend trading at this point.

I would hope that my indicators, which are not used as signals as I am a left-side price and volume method trader, would be telling me that the Chart Mode is Buy at D. This is a Test within the range of the Climatic Action bar and on the trigger level (C).

But again, based on this chart alone, the trend is down until the bars turn blue and therefore the ideal entry or at least the first opportunity does not come until E. This is the long entry that takes advantage of direction or trend.

All of the mixed-method, right-side indicator traders, coin flippers, knife catchers, or VSA traders that were able to get long at or just after C, more power to you. I could not.

Oh well, back to method............

People make it from other sound methods because they are experienced enough to have an edge from market, the edge could be discipline, money management,.. but VSA is special, trading with VSA, we are tracking the SM, we are peeing with the big dogs and the SM don't like it because they profit from our losses. Once too many get to know this method, SM have to adjust to other method to make sure that only a few get money from this market. This day, those tradeguider guys will go broke.

Deflated egos are the only things keeping people quiet here. Any one that thinks vsa will cease to work because more people know about it is a retard. The very notion of what vsa is precludes that way of thinking.
