Hi Brian

It's funny when I first started looking into trading I thought 24 hours per day trading was the way to go, maximum exposure to the market and no emotion from the trader (me), but after trying a few (and still running some of Steve's creations) the multiple currency manual approach that you have described is excellent and you can make the same if not more money here as opposed to an EA.

I'll let you know how the firing pin goes and enjoy your retreat.

hi guys,

after 1 hard day of work , me and my brother manage to find out how the calculations work in the excell file and made a indicator of it for metatrader.
it is now 1 am here. so i am going to sleep. but tommorow will test it and if it is ok by Bryon i will post the indicator in here then. but since the calculations are hidden in Bryons his excell file. i dont know yet if i am allowed to add the indicator here. so it all depends on his answer.

what the indicator does now, is it will calculate the perfect hedges for the 3 amigos,threes and the core. and gives hopefully an alarm and messagebox when 0 hedge appears.

i crosses checked the indicator with the excell and calcualtions are 100% the same. indicator works only for 5 digit broker at the moment.

also on trading. it goes much better now with trading limit orders. after market is closed tommorow i will update my result file on the thread.


going to sleep now. so tired. but what a great day

the Core was broken and it gave an alarm at the 0. so i know the core works like it does in excell. i checked it and on excell it also crossed the 0.

i think once bryon his back and he agrees to it i can add the Ea so it will allow to open 3 buys or sells when core or any other hedges gone to 0.

because i dont think it will happen much we get a perfect 0 hedge.
so if your not home and it happens, then this could be a nice addon.

since bryon is on vacation i will continue developing the EA.

I had similar thoughts, we don't want to miss the zero, so IMHO using the EA to place the initial trades is the way to go.

Bumping the thread up.

How is everyone doing - obviously a little quiet while Brian is away for a while, im having great success using brians idea of setting limit orders around the bosuns.
It saves having to sit behind the screen all day.

good to hear you are having a success with Brian strategy regarding the bosuns, would you be kind enough to explain in a little more detail how you are applying this. As far as I understand it you set limit orders on the hh/ll of the previous week with TP set at the bosun lines. I am planning to test this out myself but am a little unsure as to the exact method and would be keen to see how you have got it set up. eg. which bosun line do you use for sell limits/but limits , are they the same ?

The best thing to do would be to watch brians video's, each one builds onto the last.

I take it you have read through both of brians threads, without doing that first it would be very difficult to pickup on what brian is trying to explain.

In in a nutshell what you described is correct, if the bosuns line is above the previous weeks line then i am looking to set buy limit orders below bosuns, vice versa if the bosuns is below the previous week.

Im using a combination of the square, resistance + support lines and also hodgires indicator generated lines to set the limit orders and position sizing, take profit at the bosun line.

It seems to work for me.

hi Guys,

i include a pic here of the updates i am doing.i am trying to show it in metatrader just like it does in excell.

it is freaking hard work, because i am just a rookie coder. but result look pretty nice. and also objectcreate works so complicated.

when 0 is reached it will give an alarm.

i also added the SIxpairs in the indicator. thanks to moodybot

BRIJON talked about this hedge pair in the video of post 184.

so far my results trading on the bosun line is not so much a succes for me.
does nothing to do with brijon his method. it is awesome. it is because i am not very good with line indicators.

i prefer watching numbers. price action. that is why i like Brijon his method so much on the way he hedges.

however since i have this indicator working the hedge system described by brijon. i am making nicely gains. pure price action.

i can also tell you that so far every hedge from core to amigos, threes, did indeed go all back to 0 and crossed it.

this means that in the week profit can always be made on those pairs.

also with this hedge system somehow trading has become way less stressfull.
i dont panic anymore when i see a trade go back - 100. because the hedge is always there for the control of drawdown.

today i closed 3 sells orders on GBPCHF, EURJPY and CHFJPY all in nice profit. now the 3 buys are still open of those. but even if it would close those in the minus now. would still make a profit.

but for testing i let them open anyway. see what happens when 0 point is reached again.

i am going to take a break and relax a bit. and thanks for everybody who messaged me and some of helped.

hi guys, i just want to update. I have noticed that almost every stategy i learned on this thread works well (thank you Brian!), the problem i think we all have is excercising patience and sticking to the method. To make trading very easy for all, one can simply place buys on weekly low and sell on weekly high (i have provided the indicator to easily show u this). I have noticed this often generates 85% winning ratio. Do not disclose stoploss, you only close your trades if and when your account balance falls below 5-10% and you take profits when they are due..u can use avg daily range for taking profit.


Second simply wait for the pair or the basket you are trading to reach zero(using excell to see zero), and then trade against its most recent (previous days) trend, this generally works really well and has a high winning ratio likewise. I hope my observations help those who are finding it difficult to trade.

Hi trade4fun, great job, and congrats on completing the indicator. I do not think Brian will have a problem with u sharing your indicator, if it would be a problem, i dont think he would of shared his great excell sheet. However, I think ur ndicator will help all of us reduce screen time.

just got back from holidays in the mountains sounds great this alarm ect please share it the more that have it testing the better im sUre it will be

i have no problem with everybody sharing we all learn from others

there is no right or wronng way to trade its what suits you and makes money

sorry i wasnt able to answer this earlier but the sooner tradeforfuns indicaters posted here we im sure will all contribute

THANKS GUYS a friend sent me this multipair indicater , you can modify it to any pairs i included a screen snapshot of my six , now wouldnt it be great if we could tie this in with zero . i think russel has a ready 3 bar breakout multi later we could utalize this in 4xfor funs zero

but have a play with this indicater it looks promising

i just utalized the monthly bosun with the weekly a trade on long audusd 1.536 when i got back looks like im back in action , but the break was realy good thanks guys for keeping posting
