Kenny, I'm impressed you mage to make moneyn shorting thiscoz it moves so fast and the spread is usually big enough (at least with my broker), well done.

I'm currently long in several positions on Silver since 3590.
First TG is 393x(where it could drop like a stone as per Orbit charts) then 4900. That would be the ideal scenario - However I have the feeling silver and Gold may start ranging as we are approching Summer. I have moved my SL along to cover my weaker positions.

I suspect, I'll just let the PA develop and be carefull as we pass 3900.
If we do go beond 3950 I'm planning to open a fw more longs...

The Issue with silver other than it being a total cunt at times is the following:



Its rather clearly stuck in a pivotal zone right now, this either retraces here and thus consumes remaining supply or breaks higher.



Silver can be quite a rollercoaster, neither kenny nor I are really much of swing traders even though we both sometime do take larger rides on trades when everything pans out. For me its usually on Copper but thats for different reason, since goldman already announced copper to be a buy its time for me to move to different instruments. Given that its Summer ill be looking into Diamon ETF's agricultural ETF's and some other less traded but more rewarding instruments.

Things such as seasonality on commodities virtually stopped existing in the way they used to for several reasons.

With silver you have to look at the blatent manipulation and the fact that CME has raised the margins to hold silver by about 83% over a course of 2 months. That correction didn't come out of no where, i failed to take it and as a matter of fact i lost about 200 pips on trying to catch silver. I also lost about 200-300 pips on oil with a couple of swing trades because of the retarded amount of coverings that occured.

People come in this thread and assume we only ever win using supply/demand but fail to realise is that all we do is as red correctly stated: Manage Risk.

Ill be the last person to tell you what to do with your silver trades, as far as i am concerned the correction is over and were back in a commodities bullmarket. Silvers fair value is well above 55$ on Physical delivery, given that it has a retarded amount of practical application in the real world in science, industry, medical etc.

If youre looking to hold this as a long term investment you caught a nifty little swing buy zone, the worst that could happen to you is that silver starts correcting, you take the trade out to early, and then it moves in your favour again and you start revenge trading.

My recommendation is to hold silver for pretty much as long as you can. Any major conflicts in silver producing countries (political unrest, strikes etc) will cause silver to fluctuate up highly. Silver isnt dependant on economic growth and housing construction and on china like Copper, Nickel etc are for example, it also isnt dependant on the automotive industry alone such as Platinum for example (even though platinum should be valued fairly at well above 1800$ to be honest.

If you have the margin leave silver open and pursue other investment opportunities, if you just scalp day in day out like crazy like ken and i do, id say quit it and use the margin for 3-4 high risk/reward trades.

Btw opening additional longs is really only feasible abover 39.50 if you check the chart for minimal risk entries imo. But id really refer you to asking brian or ken about that.

Reason i closed early is because of the zone, took the trade at the bottom then added two scalps but decided ultimately not to keep even though this is promising.

Silver has been very good to me to date, mainly in the physical form - so I decided to give it a try on paper. I think the correction is over too but I don't predict.

I've read the summary provided by KennyZ on his thread and still going through Sam Seider's vids. I have to say your way of trading guys resonnate much more with me.
I've learnt Risk management the hard way and am sticking to it religiously but thanks for the reminder, it's never highlighted enough.

I got in almost with perfect timing but couldn't hold my trades.. out of all that nice slv moves i could only get 62 plus and 15 minus = 47 [4 trades]
