trades in the direction of last week`s hindisght nudging me into profitability so far for this week`s new trades, even able to do a bit of gentle stacking ... of course could easily get knocked out by Europe opening..

EU just reached round number 1.4 today.
I guess it's a happy day for all seasoned and wannabe TML traders

Hey Sweet Pips... I left a message over at BP. Don't want to clutter NMs thread .

Guys, I recommend you read some of Jesse Livemore's stuff. The reason I bring this up is because it is real relevant to what you are trying to accomplish.

Kinda like a "Duh" statement right? But there it is.... you want to let the market play itself out. Ride it man... ride it all the way LOL.

Oh another thing don't ever get bothered by what happens to the trades. Patience is the key... WAIT and wait and WAIT MORE till you see your entry materialize. "Remember while you do nothing, all those traders that feel they need to be in and out of the market are preparing the way for you. You will then profit from their mistakes." J. Livermore.

Its been a while since I posted on FF. I have been busy with other business/work commitments. I have still been following Graeme's thread with interest.
I just wanted to congratulate Nomask on this thread. I had been working on something similar but was trading too many timeframes and also over-trading.

I just want to share something that may help a few first time traders.
Last year I ruptured 2 discs in my back and had several months off work. It was around the time Graeme started his thread(Building an Equity Millepede). I spent the majority of my time laid on the floor reading Graemes thread and trying to put all the valuable lessons into trading. I was by all intents and purposes a full time trader. I had no success.
What I realise now about that period in my trading was that looking at charts all day can be counter productive. You end up seeing opportunities where there are none.
Everybody has the dream of been a succesfull full time trader and leaving there day jobs, but in my experience your day job/business can help your trading by preventing you from over-trading.
Can you imagine the discipline required to sit in-front of the computer all day and not pull the trigger? I believe its almost impossible.
Far better to check occasionally as per this method and if there is a set up then sit down and focus, if not then walk away.

On a side not I am currently short the Euro and +300pips. I just attempted another position after the 4hr candle closed below 1.4 it started to go against me on the 5 min so I closed out for -5pips. I will try again if it comes back up to test 1.4 or a fib level.

I kind of agree with you on the “in between” issue. I understand that, for me, TML is the absolute primer method to trading trending markets but I do see lots of pips running around during range-bound periods that I wouldn’t mind extracting from “while the trend is forming”. Didn't find a system that suits me for that... I guess one step at a time is the way!

Hi, I suggest don't get married to one system ! While TML can provide a sound background, you could initiate other trades in between. This is what I have done ....requires hard work ! Keep in touch !

continuing of my latest nzdusd plan..
I got two entries on the pinbar I mentioned.
They were both simple breakout entries.
First one stopped out -5pips but second one worked out and its about to be moved to b.e...

I agree with your topic because your technical trade is not so different from mine. However, you should include volume in your chart analysis, i think.

Euro is retracing but doesnt seem to have any great upward momentum. May get a trade opportunity if it retraces to fib level of last week.
