Resistance seems to be the 200 day ma on the hourly.

A Lot of the questions you ask are not for learning purposes rather they are for moving the orders on your own account. I don't mean to be a prick but your own emotions and account balance should always dictate your stops. A large part of learning is figuring out what your risk tolerance is on trades. Most of your questions regarding stops will always go un-answered due to the fact that the more experienced vsa traders have had to learn this the hard way.

There was another test bar on the 15 min a couple of bars ago. It will be interesting to see if we are ready to clear 4280 however. It does make a long a bit more risky, but stops below that test would mean minimal loss anyways.

you know sono..i heard you give some one else this same crap last night...im not in this trade!!!!! im trying to learn to see and think the way malcolm (and the other vetern vsa guys)are seeing and thinking ....i asked you the very same question yesterday on tht gu trade...at what point does this trade, in you alls opinion, become not valid?..is a set amount?, is based on breaking through a resistance area? is it a sudden change in volume??? these dont strike you as valid questions???? malcolm said his stop was 3 pips below test bar..my question was once the trade is up does he move to break even or leave where it was??? why are you constantly blaming people for wanting trade calls??? you post this elobrate chart of a gu trade last night..then when begginers have questions , you act like your offened!!! then WHY do you post them!!! moving my own account orders???WHAT??? thats awful presumptious of you....TX

There was another test on the 15 min chart, so I'd move it up a few pips below that second test. That would be just about break even.

I need to learn how to post charts though. Too lazy to bother for now.

Your missing my point. It also isn't presumptions its experience.

As per my GU post, I clearly stated my target for my long in my chart and my r:r was over 1:1, doing some mental math you could have figured out where my stop wouldn't have been thus learning in the process.

Id bet every dollar in my account you are long based off mals post. But then again I'm just an offended vsa trader.

let me return the favor...this is how i post charts..could be an easier way, but this is how i do it... save a screenshot to your desktop....then ..clbelow the area where you type in your post you'll see "manage attachments"..click that ...then click the first browse button...find the screenshot on your desktop..double click that..then click upload and close the window...then click submit reply...that should do it!!! hope it helps..TX

He seems just interested in the way malcomb manage the position.

If you got in at where Mal did, fine & great, take your 40 odd pips & run & be happy until tomorrow.
You will be peed of if it turns around & hits your breakeven. You may find out that Mal has 2 TP; where we are now, so half comes off & the rest he lets run...........maybe.

40 pips is a good profit to start off with, multiply that by 5 for the week & 4 again for the month & it soon mounts up. Greed mostly always gets in the way of trading.

Should also keep an eye on the ADR(average daily range). If it is close to there, then perhaps its a good time, sure you may miss the huge moves, but at least all those 40 pippers are locked as opposed to the ones you let break even.

Thanks, I'm on a Windows computer, what's the function to save a screenshot? I'm embarrassed I don't know this lol. Oh, and do you know how to edit the chart to add my own markings? Anyways, there may be a failed test brewing on the 15 min as well.

That's a great point and something I was going to mention. There was clear resistance to the left, so there was a perfect place to just take some profits, and perhaps look for re-entry after a break, or lower on a retest of support.

Should be a button marked "Prt Screen" near the F keys on the right. I'm on a mac so can't remember exactly where. Hit that button. That takes a screen shot. Then you have to paste it into paint (or whatever) and save the file.

I AM NOT IN THIS TRADE....and so what if i was..what does that have to do with you??? what are you the trade call police!!!LOL....i did the math on your gu trade...rr= 1 to 1 ..TP apprx 70-80 pips.......that seemed like alot to lose for me personally!! and it didnt exactly work out for you then did it!!! you must a lost a bundle on that one...maybe you should ask malcolm about some stop loss advice!!!LOL...go take a pill!!! TX

This is the best advice you can get. Greed is NOT good (unlike Gekko's opinion).

I prefer 20 pips day after day that 70 today and maybe tomorrow but -150 the next two days. We are looking for pips, but as safely as possible. It doesn't matter if "only" 20 per day. Then you only have to increase your lot size and ..... the money will come to your pocket.

There is no weakness in the charts , only strength at the moment. 1.44 very likely
