This is a very interesting offer and I have for sometime been looking for an indicator that can convert any time chart into a Bar Range Chart ex. 5 pips, 6 pips or any amount of pips in MT4 and/or MT5.
As an example let us say that a 8 pip Green bar Closes at 1.23456 the new bar should have the option to start at exactly the same price or 1.23457 or more. The reverse would apply if the candle just closed is Red.
Hoping that this request is within your anticipations I thank you for your kind offer.

Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I thought I'd give it a shot.
I was hoping that someone could help me code this EA, or possibly point me in the right direction where I could get my hands on one.
I'm trying to get an EA that will give audio/email/pop up alerts when trades are opened/closed manually, or by other EAs, on the platform.
In essence, this EA will not trade the forex and will not interfere, in any way, with the workings and processes of the actual trading EAs on the platform...it will just recognize when a trade has been opened or closed and give the alert. That's it.

There is a ton of stuff available for Murrey Math Lines. Try to search the threads for "Murrey", these are the top four results and all four had programs worth looking at. I know the last one even has full EA's posted:

Depending on your needs, there are several Range Bar scripts/indicators on this forum. This is one I found through a search that looks to be in usable shape:

There are complexities with Range Bar Charts in MT4, as you will need to use an offline chart and set it up properly. Read through that post in detail.

This was a fun little experiment, turned out to be a very simple job to code. But with that said it does not have much flexibility, it simply watches for any opened/closed orders and sends off an alert and email. Version 2 could have the option of setting the alert to only watch the current chart pair and a toggle for email/no email, but for now I kept it simple.

No inputs, very easy, just load it to a chart on your platform and turn on the EA. No settings, nothing to change.

When an order is opened, within a few seconds an alert and email will be triggered noting:
Currency pair,
Order open time,
Order type (Buy/Sell),
Open price

When an order is closed, within a few seconds an alert and email will trigger with all of the above with the addition of:
Close time,
Close price,
Profit

Keep in mind for the email to work, you have to have your email account properly setup in the MT4 options. Otherwise you will only see the alert. Let me know how it works for you...

Just posting another project I did that was not included on the forum posts. I had someone ask for a 2 step order modification EA, a sort of 2 step trailing stop loss function.

This EA will set a default SL and TP if none is set on order open. Then once a certain price is reached, the SL is moved to break even. Then once the next price point is reached the SL is moved to a new level. All price point targets, SL target and default SL/TP are configurable as follows:
InitialStop = Default SL in not set in order
BreakEven = Pips above order open price to trigger break even
StepTwo = Pips above order open price to trigger second SL step
StepTwoPip = Pips above order open price to set second SL step at
TakeProfit = Default TP in not set in order

I hope this will clarify things for you, this doesn't need to have any function to open orders, just to manage moving the stop after the order is open. I normally trade with a 15 pip limit order, so really I would guess that this ea doesn't need to worry about the TP or the SL as i would set those when i placed the order, just the moving the stop to entry price & then the + 2

I have an HMA indicator that works in the traditional way, but I have yet to come across one that will give an alert when price crosses the hma. Is this something you would be able to code.

Hello, as requested I added a function to trigger an alert when the price crosses the HMA. I hope I understood your requirements correctly, this seemed to alert often in testing. Try this out and let me know if it is doing what you expect it to. It has a very simple message of "Price has crossed HMA", but this can be altered to include additional information if needed.

I do have a piece of code that limits the alert after the close of the signal bar. I am just beginning to learn how to code and this will be a great opprotunity to put my limited skills to the test. I will keep you posted.

Hi Friends!

I was trying to modify the MACD OSMA indicator attached. Since I had limited mql kwnoledge, the results were not good. (I am being indulgent with myself. results were terrible!)

I would be deeply grateful if the MACD OSMA could be represented in the same way as the MA Cross histo (image & indicator attached). Also, same alerts should remain.

Let me know if you need further information or clearer definitions.

Hello all, pls i need help with making an EA with this simple strategy. It consist of Bolinger Band default and ema14. Buy if ema14 crosses bb up and sell if ema14 crosses bb down, it should only trade at start of London session & stop placing order at the end of new york session, it should trade on any pair & any time frame, it should av a Break Even @ 30pips, Stop Loss @ 50 & Take Profit @ 100pips. Hi again Dlazor, I tested the Order Alert EA and put it through different scenarios. It performed great, but there were just a couple hiccups.

1. I closed 5 open trades at the same time with a "close all open trades" script. The EA gave one or two alerts out of the 5 trades that were closed.

2. I had a Crossover EA open and close trades. The Order Alert EA worked well, except when the Crossover EA closed a trade and opened another one in another direction almost instantaneously. In this case, the Order Alert EA would alert the close of the trade, but wouldn't alert the new open trade.

I noticed that the Order Alert EA only had issues when multiple trades were closed almost instantaneously, or a trade was closed and another opened almost instantaneously, in which case it would alert the first trade, but not the following one/s. When these things didn't happen almost instantaneously, the Order Alert EA worked perfectly.

I am not a programmer so I don't really know why this happens, and it might not even be a fault of the Order Alert EA, but it would be great if that could be corrected, if at all possible.

Hope I haven't been writing too much lol, just trying to be thorough.

i'm in need of a simple code to set my s/l to BEP once price move 50 pips into my direction.

and from there onwards start to trail the price 100 pips

so basically its dual layered of trailing stop, 1) first to BEP, 2) 100 pips trailed after that.

your help will be greatly appreciated,
attached is my simple strategy that needs the BEP strategy

my entries are based on a simple MACD zero cross line based on closing bar

the trailing is meant to trail a big swing / trend when its happening, but also in the same time protect is when it simply moves 50+ pips

I am happy to help out since I am using this as a personal growth exercise, but please be patient with me as I pour through the requests. Also I am receiving some requests that are extremely complex, so given my limited time, please understand that some requests are better for the coders that offer themselves up professionally on this forum, I certainly do not want to undercut them. You hit the nail on the head, there was one minor limitation to the design of this program and I was hoping it would still work for you. Basically this EA works by counting all active (open) and inactive (closed) orders, it does not track by order number. This kept the EA simple, however it is reliant on calling out to the server for a count of active/inactive orders. So when opening/closing orders rapidly the counts do not update quickly enough to keep up.

Let me take a second stab at this, I basically have to add a cross check function to make sure the alerts did not skip an order when rapidly initiated.
