i know alot of you dont prefer the yen crosses..but i was wondering if you could glance at this and respond to what you think...E/J 4hr chart..volume has been unusually low for the past 2 days and price has drifted up...first thought is theres no real SM behind the move upward and we will fall...but it cant be that simple so any one elses insight would be much appreciated...regards, TX

Here was a perfect trade

the 1326 was my trigger line , wide spread high vol up. i marked close of that bar.

1322 support but if that breaks 1319 to 1315

re-entered from 1330, would suggest some fast down moves now

Definitely looking at 1310 or lower this week. This should drag down the Euro as well.

I have one position trade off 1345 area and day trading weakness on rallies. I have made several comments on weakness in es last 3 weeks .

GAVIN 0 .. malc 1...lol ( in the long term think Gavin would win though)

ES has been sold on every up move for last 3 weeks.

I think we may see 1250 but one step at a time

My flaw, can't sit out those retraces when I see them, but must confess it often let me miss the big moves, don't laugh looking for 1010, but guess it will take a while

By this point we had some SOW in the background and are now seeing effort to rise with no result. We are being kept down by the low trigger of what for me was the second highest volume bar of the day. We had the first squat bar with it's high right into the low of that bar stopping it dead. The next bar was a down bar... sellers overtook the buyers... then we see the same thing a second time. Bulls are being hammered order for order by the bears and the bears are winning... result down we went.

Take a look at the EU 15min chart from today also and you will see a similar pattern only in reverse. The first 6 bars after LO showed some buyers as we were having increased volume downbars followed by upbars... the downbars were making lower lows but the 3rd downbar wasn't able to close below the low of the 1st down bar that opened the London session. The stregth was short lived but it was there none the less.

Edit... Please take your screen shots with your volume showing... hard to offer up analysis without your volume.

Last night I read somewhere that E/U could visit 1.33.....WOW. Can almost see it though.

Nice call on that sell at 4200 area. Didnt quite make it to 4200 but nice job anyway.

Based on the daily bar yesterday on EU printed as a ND (well for me anyway ) if we take out that low today or tommorow then 3900 will be a definate this week...

I mentioned that 30 min this morning sell rallies off 4200 target 4050... not yet at target days rnage lows is 4100 , may not see 4050 till later

I agree .. it seems like they are trying to dry up demand.

As long as we see that supply coming in at 4200 , 3900 or lower is on the cards

so - close my eurusd trade with no loss - I let never turn a winner into a loser ..

Im posting this because I could very well have been on the other side of this trade, which means i totally got it wrong. I am at work and made this trade on my phone or would have made my own screenshot and posted it, but yours looks exactly like mine except mine would have all the wrong notations about exactly what you shouldnt do.

I have a serious problem recognizing and then accepting stopping volume, or in this case reverse stopping volume. Here is what i perceived, I saw that widespread up bar as high volume approaching my trendline to make the "jump" over it, when it got rejected I saw the down move on decreasing volume as a trap to gear up for another shot at it, so i started looking for tests. The bar before his no demand was a successful test to me and when the no demand bar closed above it, I entered. Then the shock and awe of the next bar floored me and i couldnt flip through my app fast enough and lost 30 pips.(I have developed a bad habit of opening the order, then setting my SL.)

I see now exactly why I was wrong and am kicking myself for not seeing it.

This is only one of the past 5 or so losing trades I have had while trying to trade with the trend. I am really considering taking Hulls M/A off my chart while i am learning. I have been letting it tell me what to look for and if i get a test or no demand/upthrust before the color changes im screwed. Also I mostly trade 5m charts, but maybe i should zoom out till i get this down. I just figure the lower the timeframe the faster I learn.

Stopping Volume really confuses my because I have seen big volume stop the down move and then it will continue, but I have also seen smaller but increasing volume stop the move and it will reverse, so im quite confused to be honest.

Ive been trading for 4 weeks now and feel i have a decent grasp, but I know I have so much more to learn. Im only trading nano lots and the odd micro lot until im profitable, but the wife is busting my balls everytime I tell her I had a winning trade of $1.35. So im anxious to get profitable of course, like everyone else. Im slowly making my way through this thread, on page 123 atm, but I dont get much time cuz I have 4 kids and a pregnant wife

So, if anyone has any comments for me I would greatly appreciate what you give me.

This thread never ceases to amaze me and I wouldnt be as confident as I am with out it. I bought "trading for dummies" at the beginning of the year so i could learn how to trade penny stocks haha, so i have come a long way through the help of you guys.

Ok too long for a first post so Ill go ahead and end this book. Just thought I would exhibit my "herd" behaviour and join this thread with all the other new guys
