Unfortunately I wrote a very detailed response yesterday for you and it never appeared after going to the moderator queue...

In brief now.. astroelite and Zet lite are just real-time zodiacs that give the positions of the planet relative to the earth or sun and probably other points of reference. The simplest way this is used is taking the position of a planet, or other heavenly object.. or combination of such, as relative to earth. The zodiac shown in these software tools will give you this value (0 - 360 degrees). This value can then be plotted directly on your charts. So if mars is at 180 degrees on a 9th Feb, then you mark this on your chart. If by the 15th of february it is at 185 degrees you plot that on the chart. Connect the lines and you have a support / resistance line.

The position of a planet can be scaled and offset accordingly to fit your charts.. i.e. 360 degrees = 0.36 cents.. or 0.72 cents and so on. There are plenty of other ways to use this information but if you plot out the path of a major planet over a year mapped correctly for your chart, you can definitely tell that somehow it has an influence. Whether this is because there are that many astro-traders out there influencing the market at the same time.. or the planets are influencing the earths electro-magnetic field which in turn effects the emotion of all us people which in turn effects the market... or whether its just a matter of perception... Anyway Gann's Soybean Price Resistance Levels lesson sums this method up nicely if you google it.

Thanks for the explanation, my mind just goes blank when it goes to planets and the sky.. really. 360 = 0.36? Still dont know how to convert and draw that on the charts. I looked at Astro as arrow down or arrow up (tick setting at 90), silly I know but i thought thats a fun way of analysing it lol.

ZET 9 Lite is just about all we need, it also plots Declinations. And if you want PRO version, it is among cheapest on the Market.
Info that we need in this case is LONGITUDE.

For currencies trading I guess it is best to use their local time. Don't know, still learning.

Haha.. well if you use it that way consistently maybe it would just work

OK so take a planet relative to earth.. and to keep it simple imagine earth sitting in the middle of a plate (round one) and.. say Jupiter circling around the plate on the outside and that East is zero degrees. The plate is your 'geocentric' zodiac which is what Zet and Astro Clock is showing. Say Jupiter is South of earth then it would be at 270 degrees on the plate (sorry for over simplifying but gotta make the solar system appear in 2d).
So then imagine plotting the position of Jupiter on your chart at a 1 degree = 1 cent ratio. You would have a line that goes from 0 to 360 cents in a sort of wavy pattern. Gann would use this exact line for support resistance. He would also use many other aspects of this but I won't go into it.

This line on some charts would be handy but on most not... so basically you would offset it and / or scale it to suit your instruments price range. So for something trading above 360 cents.. you would just add 360 to every point on your planet line to get a line from 360 to 720. If your chart is under 10 cents you would plot from 0 to 0.360 cents for one full cycle and then 0.360 to 0.720 etc.. whatever works for your chart.

Sounds airy fairy.. but with an open mind you tend to see a lot of support/resistance levels lining up.. especially if you add more planets to the picture. Pure Astro traders would use many more astrological objects and aspects to get a heap of points to watch for support and resistance.

I have been trying to use it the last few months but still learning.. Been looking at Jupiter pulling up Soybeans with other aspects.

Like any strategy though you need to be consistent with it... I am trying to get over the hurdle of getting excited about every single planet that intersects the price and then justifying any entry signal to get on it haha. Need to be sure it has an influence... and many other things going for it.. or just know the future!! Glad to be learning about this stuff at least..

That's the problem, Gram, everything takes time to learn and being in the middle of 2 projects can't afford it. Thanks for the link, I see its 8 pages..phew that's manageable I think. and thanks for the explanation. Everything new takes the time equivalent to getting a degree to learn now it seems... or am I just getting old

So C+/C++ or Borland coder is needed for simple program. The base code is already existent, would just need to add some calculations and propriate output (screen print).

To learn about financial astrology I recently joined a yahoo group called Wheels In the Sky. It costs a little bit (mainly to keep out spammers) but is the best resource on the web for learning the ways of Gann.. i.e. Financial Astrology.. = cycles Hundreds of contributers and lots of ebooks. There a number of introductory audio lessons to get you upto speed quick.

Much can be learned from this thread. It just takes time to absorb the knowledge and apply it to trading.

Gann would be the way to go.
George Bayer, I belive, was active in same period. I am checking his infos currently.

Start by monitoring Moon phases. There is also some valuable info on TSD forum, at least thread (Astro...) is much shorter, heh... untill experienced, use Astro only as guide, and technical for confirmation of signals.

For now, I'm checking the moon phases and the behaviour of silver and check gold with sun cycles (curiouslly, today is mid-spring in northern hemisphere - peak of gold last monday ?).

Today, here in Portugal, all the atenttion is on the bailout plan.

Hello again. I'm still try to read everything I can about financial astrology but I'm still in learning, but I also like numerology, so in my studies, I see that tomorrow is a special day 11-5-11, in this year every day 11 is important.

From an astrological point of view, is there any big change for tomorrow, in special related with silver and $usd trading that might have some big influence ?

In numerology, we study the number of dates, and each number has its own energy. In this year, the number 11 is very strong, because of the termination of the year. It's like the mark of the year and it can be (can be, doesn't mean have to be) some important days of the most important events.

In Jannuary 11, started the egipician revolution, in March 11 the Japan earthquake. I'm just curious if, in the astrological point of view, there's a great significance or not.

Astronumerology - read last chapter of Earik Beann's Handbook of Market Esoterica, it is brief summation of entire book, easy to put together in Excel, if you can code or are lucky, like me (GOD bless you, Graham), you can import planets positions from SwissEphemeris, the rest is 'cmon-excel-do-the-magic'. If you are gonna study aforementioned chapter - firts example is false, next are correct. Or vice versa, I would not be surpprised...
