If I recall correctly, Tom says that if the tests in a weak market do not produce result then the market is still weak, notice also in my post that test(t4) reversed after a ND (marked with a down arrow), you stop should have been above that level, hence stay in the short trade. Also t5 was a failed test..so down it continued.

I've understood during those last 2 days that the position of trigger lines are key to VSA! If at the correct position the reaction around them is really clear.

tick volume is not reliable at all, so there is no benefit in using volume in Forex

Sorry pres78, I was using a false trigger level. The correct one was the close of the climactic bar at 1.4485 and the low of the test is right at that level.

It is! Gavin Holmes showed that in one of his webinar. He compared a future currency chart with the Forex chart of the same currency. Although the volume was not exactly the same, the VSA signals were quite the same and it is also showing that the most important in VSA is not the size of a volume bar, but its size compared to the volume of the other bars.

clear no demand at 15 min chart.
market not ready to go up yet.. maybe they're still accumulating at around 1.4500 level. until 1.458 break, no long position.

I'm not sure it will go back to 1.4500, but it'll soon break higher.

guys ..ive ben following your work here for about a week or so and have to say im impressed..ive been trading FX for 5 years and just cant seem to make it work..win 1 lose 2 kinda thing..ive come to realize quickly that indies just dont work..so ive been fibbing for years ..which also is a very tough thing to do..so i say all that to say this...you guys have made some incredibly accruate remarks regarding the market , BEFORE HAND!!....and im now thoroughly convinced that this vsa may be the only real chance a guy has at thriving in this game..i have survived for years but who wants to do all this work just to breakeven!..LOL..im reading the master the market book...id like to join in here and see if i can learn this approach...doesnt look easy!!! but nothing good ever is, right!..question!...do any of you recommend the tradeguider software for a beginner at vsa? or is that a waste of money? any help from anyone on how to avoid the pitfalls while learning vsa would be greatly appreciated...i dont expect its easy or that one can master this in a week..ill put the time and work in..but id like to aviod any of the common pitfalls the new guys go through...thanks for any response in advance..RB

ivonivon's vol looks very different then mine... after I finally thought I got an OK feed....
Do you guys also have the 2nd bar after the NFP beening less then 1/2 the NFP bar and the 2 bars after it been 4 time higher ??

although you need not fancy software to trade vsa, it's still a great tools.
i love the hlc visual bar.. you may want to sign for vsa club. there's many videos you can learn there for only around $50/month.

Hello RB---I finally got tired of being beatup by FX after six years of hand-to-hand combat and have made the switch over to VSA. It's been a welcome change and see the possibilites of turning this bloody struggle around! Master the Master book and I would suggest purchasing the SMART VSA software before the price increase coming soon! I have no
financial connection to this software, it just works! Good luck!
