I have saved 2 versions in the zip file but if you have any problems opening them let me know and then I can save it in another format for you as I know you use Open Office.

EOB is now renamed The Beast and is the post 1 version. I have posted the Krypty's user guide, updated with a couple of extra sections including a description of white box trading.

Should anyone have trouble reading the colours in the guide, I attach the Open Office file from which the pdf is generated, so that you can edit the coloured sections for yourself. Open Office is free, open-source software that you can download quickly and easily by Googling it.

I want to again give you a huge thanks for the time and effort you have put into The Beast. I have followed the evolution of The Beast from TOB, Beastie & EOB and it has been a fascinating and fruitful journey and the best experience I have had in FX in my 5 years of trading. Your skills, persaverance & knowlwedge which you unselfishly share deserve a knithood.

This is the only system I know which purely based on price action...like a swiss clock, but need to keep a very close eye on the Old Beast

Hi, I have a little bugfix. I was getting the error message where da beast was trying to OrderModify an already existing trade. It kept on trying to do this stupid thing and filled up the log. Silly moron robot.

New code is towards the end of CountOpenTrades. The change is in the line with the OrderSelect() --- it will now attempt to modify only if the OrderSelect() succeeds AND the current trade is still open.
Replace the code in The Beast with the stuff below in the parallel place.

Fix in post 1. This is not an essential re-download, but TOB trying to modify closed trades will result in a lot of messages in your journal that will obscure anything useful. They will stop eventually, as TOB periodically checks the box ticket numbers and cancels them if the trade is closed. I think.

Those of yuou who are able, simply copy-paste Matt's snippet over the original in CountOpenTrades() and re-compile.

Bunker sent me a pm, he was getting the re-entry line drawn at the wrong place as well and he sent me this bit of code which fixes this problem:

I tested it and it fixes the re-drawing issues. Still, sometimes PA touches the line and a trade doesn't trigger, so that seems to be a different issue

I cannot imagine which bit of my deranged psyche caused me to mix up these two signs. He-ho. The fix is in post 1, although those of you who can only need exchange the signs.

Another buy/sell stop order send failed with error 130 with the latest The Beast and box trading with standard settings.
I am not too close to market (limit min 40) and I was able to send the pending trade manually without problem.

OK, so maybe I'm not understanding how "White box hedge trading" is supposed to work, but from what I'm seeing on IBFX(US) its not working well at all.

For instance right now on EURJPY its in a loosing sell trade posted on May 3.. now I'm guessing that the buy stop above it "Should" have been entered to "hedge" the loosing trade, and if it had I would surely not be loosing nearly as much money on this trade. But because you cant "hedge" at all on IBFX(US) that trade was not entered.

Now looking at this trade, it had an opportunity to close for profit on the green line, but for some reason didn't.

So my question is, should I just turn off white box trading entirely since it seems to rely on hedging, which I cant do with a US broker?

Hehe. "humorously insulting" is perhaps not an epithet that everyone would apply to some of my posts. Ah well, such is life.

What makes me proud, humungously proud, is that some brilliant minds find my offerings worthy of attention. Some of the traders who contribute to my posts make my trading look pre-amateurish. Some of the coders who contribute make me feel silly.

Yet they contribute, time and again. Fantastic. Makes me feel I have the occasional little bitty to contribute to the community here.
