You buy/sell something.

You place your stop loss say 30 pips away.
You are risking 30 pips.

Price moves in your direction.
It moves away from your buy price by 30 pips.
Now you can move your stop loss to the break even price (BE), this is the price you paid plus the commission, so that if priceturns round and comes back at you triggering your stop loss you do not lose anything. You have covered your commission and come out clean.

Hmmmm - bastards.
I have run a few websites and had one hacked to death by a Turkish super hacker who destroyed sites on an industrial scale.

Subsequently I studied this devious pursuit. The process is not so difficult but quite what the purpose is, is beyond me.

Having plotted beeb's fork on silver, price has been sitting above the 2nd upper warning line for 36 hours now.
That it is above the 2nd warning line says something about how overextended it looks to me.
It has managed to close above this line on each 4H bar.
The candles look to be rounding over slightly. The current 4H bar is bearish but of course could change, if it doesn't that is the last 3 4H candles that are bearish.

I scale back and look at the daily chart.
The up trend was already brisk but it really has accelerated over the last 2 weeks. It is several dollars above the longer term trend line which as I say was steep in the first place. If it were to fall to the longer term trend we are looking at $44.

Goose, not really false breaks, looks like it, yet it seems,
Bears are going to stiffly guard 50 IMO, because when the price takes 50 - YET all dips are being bought by bears.

IT IS ALL OVER. 100 is next the next target.

Personally, I would like a 5 dollar dip to buy more physical. not for trading though.

Too right XT - bust through $50 and it is blue skies.

I would much much rather see price pull back hard to $44 and then take a nice steady run up to $100.
I feel an elastic band is tight on price and I would not be surprised to see a big correction down to the longer term trend line.
That would be good for all (unless they get caught long and blown up of course)

It looks too unstable to take a new position for me. Too easy to find you have got on the wrong side of price.

Draw a trendline on the daily chart - it is so clear 2 weeks ago price really revved up and the market usually pulls this sort of movement back on course in the end.

Good thinking Six Gun...price actually hanging just below the red ML and below the teal ML but above the darker green ML. It could use either one of those lines to launch the next immediate, short-term move. They've got room to play (until the time is right) if you get in there. I think it is a good idea to make price commit to telling you when and where. Patience

Enjoying the level of info. and thoughts being shared. Thanks to you and the other posters. The fact that people here use different trading methods and share their ideas on trade direction works quite well. A very lively and enthusiastic bunch.

last couple days silver seems to be waiting on gold to do its thing (lets see if she can make it to 1551) while shes been hanging at weekly highs 48.30 area and a daily close above that is noted.
to the north this 48.30 to 51.00 area is going to be interesting.
she did test for response on the daily trend guide @ 4740 area.

No, please forgive me really. I was merely hoping to strike a minor dialogue regarding what does to me seem to be a variance as of late in the range in which silver has been swinging, and the underlying fundamental of such, if it exists at all. I was under the impression that learning from each other is why we were here.

Numerous posts refer to the historical PA. Most post charts. Some talk fundamentals.

What I'm seeking is concurrence/validation of whether now is a time to reconsider one's frame of reference, if not frame of mind. I may be imagining things. Who knows? (I think you may have already answered this one.)

I could ask the simple "Is this the time to get in?" But, I don't because that does nothing for my learning to fish. Neither does a post beginning this thread a little over a year ago explain the unusual becoming today's usual (if such is true).

However, that post does offer one thing: Thread rule number 6.

Maybe I previously chose poorly my choice of words to convey what I am getting at and seeking to understand. (Though, I guess I could have done worse by making a bearish statement.)

In any matter, apologies if my question was too simple for your time and attention.
