good work buddy...dont lose heart...this method works....just need to keep at it...and u would be safer if u entered in the direction of the trend....my trades made during the London session also ended in loss...maybe we shouldnt have traded the London session considering that euro and pound had risen so much overnight...

curious why you are even bothering to put the lagging indicators of MACD into this approach? original thread owner didn't see an need to include them...

VSA doesn't need a lagging indicator for it's success....

MACD is a derivative of price, not the other way around. If you want to know where is price going you look at price,spread & volume, not at price's derivative...

please post relevent to the topic ie 'trading vsa the way nsk does'

You're right C, and for that reason, I suppose I should start my own thread or journal here on FF- thanks for pointing it out. Sorry to Karthik to diluting the original method by adding my own method. I will say this, VSA is my primary indicator, but I prefer to use additional indicator for confirmation - I have higher success ratio with them (just see my own journal @wordpress) - it's like building a house, I have better results with right set of tools, not just hammer. I've seen other VSA "experts" get the reading wrong more often. Carry on in this thread, but for what it's worth, I do like the thread starter's approach and attitude better than the other VSA expert.

By the way, it finally reached final estimated TP and previous screenshot of said method erased from this thread.

Thanks for wishes Karthik, but this time I got broke -90 total... ouch!
Anyway it's part of the game, I got almost 150 with the last eu long so the balance is still +....

by the way I'm in BC (Canada, but I'm not Canadian), PST time zone (actually now PDT...) so GMT-7 for who is not familiar to play with time zones

Which other VSA thread starter are you referring to? Also which other VSA "experts" do you see that get the reading wrong more often?

As a trader who only uses VSA I am just curious.

Hey Pres,

When it comes to specific people / VSA thread starter, I'll let people here figure that out themselves (it's not you). It is all part of learning here and not intended to point fingers. My main point is that VSA along with a couple other things I use, I increase my odds of winning; it's all part of a personal toolbox that works for me. I chose this thread on VSA because the person seems very humble compared to others I saw. I've learn more from these type of people than the cocky ones who think they know it all.

Let's me put it another way. You notice here on FF that alot of people with 10+ vouches and appear to know alot in terms of trading and the science behind it? What if you ask them to open an account up for 2-3 months, even just DEMO and then let others evaluate the trades using Trade Explorer? You know what response you will most likely get? Screw off. Most will not want that challenge because it challenges their established false credibility. In my opinion, helping, and educating and mentoring is one thing, but actual performance is another. There should be separate vouches for helping and educating others, and a separate one for pure performance. Just my opinion of course...

thanks for ur wishes pinoy...and no need to be sorry abt anything....i appreciate that u try out various things to see what works best for u....as i said, even i like the idea of using an oscillator like stochs to time the entries and exits better....

lemme be very honest...when u told me that u were in 3 trades, i felt that u were getting overconfident and that u had started overtrading...i may be wrong but am just telling u what i felt...

this method works best on GU and usually GU and EU move together (though not always) and so i use this on both....i believe that we can just restrict ourselves to these 2 pairs and we will do well...if we have more money, take a bigger lot on these pairs...

and for spreading the risk, what i do is that i have 3-4 strategies and i take trades on all strategies....that way, the risk is spread rather than putting all the risk on one strategy....most traders talk abt spreading the risk across pairs but i believe that more than spreading it across pairs, it is more abt spreading the risk across different strategies...cos if the strategy goes wrong, it goes wrong on all pairs...no point in using the same strategy across multiple pairs...so its more abt the strategy/system than the pair...


and apologies for thinking that u were european....since u were a fan of Rossi, i assumed that u were spanish....:-)...

i think i know who u are talking abt...and u know what, i was banned from the thread by the thread starter (who was supposed to be my friend and we used to chat quite a bit on skype) cos i asked a few uncomfortable questions abt VSA on the thread...anyway...

this vouching system is BS in my opinion...it was started with a noble intention but it has been thoroughly misused...most guys with 10+ vouchers are those who give vouchers and take one in return...u will see that they have 12 vouches and would have given 20 vouches, 12 of those 20 vouches would have been for those who gave them the vouch....irrespective of how each one trades...its like 'i scratch ur back, u scratch mine'....
