hey fti good to see ya, Im still a work in progress developing a sense of feel for direction.
Id say what stands out most this past year as things learned is patience and self control.
guess ya just went off line and missed ya?

missed stopping by and working with the 3 kingdoms but focused on silver and other interest.
although it is good to follow up on the new post.
I would like to add that those that had been buying physical silver since last feb. ($15-17) I say we done good and a round of ice cream cones for a bit of a reward as we approach $50.

I constantly go back to FTI post and find new information as i learn the dance of the market.
i might be reading too much into it but it has helped me non the less.


in the past FTI has talked about ATR and i didnt understand the concept of it. or why he would use that indicator. it measures volatility yes, from previous highs and lows, and the range of the day. but why?
bollinger bands are designed to measure volatility as well.

then i began reading and tying some concepts together. FTI mentions the laws of motion by isaac newton, and we are trained to use money management and attack by strategam like in the AOW by sun tsu.

objects at rest tend to stay at rest or motion until acted upon by an outside unbalanced force, and water tends to flow from high concentration to low concentration be it a high concentration of demand orders or supply orders.
water seeks the area of lowest resistance.

then the law of momentum, which talks about acceleration and rate of change.

for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and elliot wave study.


so i began thinking, how can i apply this to trading, what is the hidden knowledge behind these statements.

and i began looking at charts looking at price movement, and behavior of price movement. and it dawned on me.

the market tends to stay in the same shape or form trending bearish or bullish rangin, until acted upon by an outside force, we do not know when or what it is but we need to be very watchful for this force, it is measured by the speed time and thrust of price, as market changes the velocity of its previous behavior tends to decrease

if it was a bull market for example the momentum of price decreases and we see what we call a topping formation, as the outside force begins to act upon the first law a bull market is going to be a bull market forever until acted upon by an outside force, the speed and momentum of price decreases and the force takes it into the opposite direction until an outside force is applied where we see the momentum and speed of price changing and we see what we call consolidation.

every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and that is why after a big move there is a counter move, or what elliot used in his observations to call waves impulse and correctives. counting waves is not exactly important as is very subjective, but you can see the outside force in the first wave, followed by opposite reaction on the corrective which in turn requires a redirection by buying pressure and thus we see another impulse wave simply carrying the same direction in to the bear/bull market.
ATR is not needed but might help in determining the rate of change and speed of thrust to (predict) although FTI doesnt like using this word

in fact we anticipate an oposite reaction allowing us to press the attack or get out of bad positions when rescuing, but always being careful and mindful that the forces in the market are unseen and therefore we cant have 100 percent certainty of a correction.

as i was saying about water, when areas of strong demand, are seen in the chart does not mean SUPPORT and RESISTANCE is not really resistance as price even though respecting these areas in the past does not mean certainty and there fore we need to be nimble and have balls of steel but have a plan, being able to recognize POTENTIAL areas where attack can be pressed, rescues can be inn acted or simply hold price or liquidate position requires prediction, and anticipation.............however the mentality he wants us to have is to be like water, if price moves in different ways than expected we need to recognize this and observe, formulate a plan accommodating the now seen change.

sounds complicated but one can also DANCE as he says, meaning our brains are so incredibly fascinating that in fact one can actually discern this information by observation and feeling the rhythm of the market. waves and counter waves, speed and acceleration of price from previous state, and slowing of momentum before market change.

my question to all of you fellow traders is.
what are your theories? how do you dance? or fight the war?
