Dislikedhopefully the right chart and opposite view point always healthyIgnored
Dislikedfailed trade example:
geppy:
got excited at the broken tl and retest at the broken tl.
didn't wait for london. entered long at the asia session set up.
had to go through an agonizing moments... price dropped hard stopped me out then went to bed not realizing it was a london session.
i wasn't prepared for london. saw the set up afterwards...
lesson learned: after the breakout of the tl, should have paid more attention to the macd. signal lines crossed down right after tl break. should have waited a little longer.Ignored
Dislikedeuro trade:
pull back was estimated ar'd 4250 area. went down 100 pips more, but bounced.
1hr macd signal lines were way down and crossed upwards.
reversal started at franky session. 2 entries were there, 1 in franky and london open.Ignored
DislikedPK...you broke all rules on this chart...entry wasn't good...
you placed a long order not only South of your MA but also when...Ignored
Dislikedgeppy trade:
this is what i mean by being greedy isn't good....
nice entry at 134 area. should have taken profit at 135.70 area.
instead... i'm still holding. missing 1 exit is forgivable... but ignoring another exit opportunity isn't a good thing. it happens very often with me...Ignored
Dislikedthanks pilot,
agree on the ma direction. just got too excited on that one. didn't think it straight. lol. regarding macd... i don't use it for entry. i use it more of a cycle indicator. it saved me numerous times in the past and works great with euro pair. not so much useful with geppy though, i admit that. lol.Ignored
DislikedGJ has swings of 50 pips minimum...so if you're in the right direction like here you should always use a trailing stop with limit set up 50 pips above your entry...= cash in..Ignored
Dislikednext time.....get excited on something else pls...
MACD never saved you..you saved yourself..now count how many times it caught you in a wrong direction?Ignored
Dislikedthis is an example of using macd giving an exit signal and entry signal.
after it crosses from upstairs or downstairs, it's entirely up to the pa to decide.
doesn't work like this all the time, but when it gives signals in quite time like this. i have an early confirmation all it needs after that is reversal candle, depending on what session though.Ignored
Dislikedyou said it...you just need a hammer /pin bar/with extra high vol = reversal
Now on exit point = this is a selling zone = double top on a downtrend (Ma down 45 degres)
TL also shows a good downtrend...= you know at this level any long position couldnt last.
Last entry = double bottom ...but any long here will be a countertrend to the MA = you're going to be confronted to lot of supply anytime..Till you cross over your MA to the North.
This is an overall.downtrend chart ...we can clearly see major swings are to the South.Ignored
Dislikedthat's on 1hr chart. daily and 4hr 50 ma was angling up. therefore, 1hr 50 ma angling down can be assumed it's going through a correction and i had other reasons for long position that happened way earlier. that was a good indication euro was a long play. any confluence with daily support and resistance is a good place to look for reversals, imo.Ignored
Dislikedso... in a sense, i agree with pilot. using macd alone and taking all the trades with macd alone is a suicide mission. one has to use it in a conjunction with other things, such as looking at higher tf, ma, pa, and so on.... , imo.
another thing to note.... don't over use it. lolIgnored
Dislikedfound one of the reasons...
when rejection like this happens.... in my book, don't short for a long time.
1hr rejection candle was a beauty, that's not in this chart...
but in this case... all i needed to know was macd lines were in the bottom. no waiting for cross.Ignored
