I don't use metatrader- I use platforms with IG Index - I always have a good look at charts on a PC before trading from the mobile ... it's possible to get mobile alerts with them also but I don't really use the service .. might look into using it more... their mobile platform can sometimes be a bit slow with some requotes but on the whole ok

You can get emails sent for alerts if you have an MT platform always running, this can be coded in any indicator. SMS, maybe someone can do it, never thought of it. If you search, I'm sure there must be a way for this stuff to be done.

Hi Wormboy,

I know you use fxcm for your trading.
Can you please elaborate which platform you are using? Is it the tradestation, metatrader or active trader?

I want to open an account with FXCM but have noticed that the eurusd spread is not so competitive- its about 2.6-2.8 pips most of the time...
Does that not bother you? In active trader the Eurusd spread can be as low as 0.7 pips but there is comission of 0.5 pip for open and close..so that means 1 pip commision per trade.

Please elaborate what you use and if you reccomend it..

I am still in, I`ve already put 100pips in the risk so don`t want to close for 7, and because of last easter time my 1st TP is 0,96 and TP2 - parity (with SL=be after getting TP1)

thanks guys for the reply... and then another question on the mobile platforms...

they have special offer with internet traffic 1GB per month.. or some 2GB... how do u think? is it enough???? i mostly trade from pc of course.. but it might happen that i will have to keep platform running for several hours sometimes....

Well, I have 1GB FUP on my internet connection through mobil phone and it is more than ok. The only thing is that smartphones (OS android) likes still touching for some updated on the internet, trying to download a lot of stuff which is useless... So turn off all updates in your smartphone and make the updates when you will be on WIFI and this limit 1GB is more then ok... even 500mb should be ok even with short mails
p.s. for me trading from mobile platform (MT4) HTC smartphone, is terrific... I have it because of backup internet connection, but for trading it is totally useless for me...

Hi Guys -

I re-entered long on USDCAD 9513 SL 9480 ... looking to stay above 50% retrace of that hammer on D1 the other day

Also long UJ 8213 SL 8150 ... speculating that combined central bank intervention will not be wasted in letting the Yen strengthen so much again (in the short term at least)

GJ ... may be on it's way down , but this is the first touch of new WP and with a bit of PA support also , so I'm going for a long scalp 13480 SL 13425

Another one with PA S/R coinciding with the WP ... a retest of the WP in the next few hours would be a good entry for a short scalp , imo
