U/CHF 4hr chart... what a beautiful chart... so many easy entries . Begin to appreciate the charts and what they are showing you... where is my wheelbarrow? I think Chews borrowed it... he must be a neighbor...

Remember that PA likes to go back to old hi's and low's... so if your late to enter... look to the left for previous supp/Res levels because that's probably where it's heading before it pauses/rests... Just always remember that if you don't get in on candle 1 or 2 (green crosses red)... your taking a bigger chance and your odds for success are lower... and make sure you monitor the trade in progress while moving your S/L up...

If its past candle 1 or 2, better to just look for a different chart

A/U 4hr is scratching it's head thinking about going short... keep an eye on it... See the TDI...

Momma Mia... all I can see in this 4hr chart are DOLLAR SIGNS. It would be so fine if we had the strength and desire... alertness to trade charts like this 24/5... if so I'd have you bring your own bucket of ribs and my valet would park your sports cars out front...

It's thinking... remember what I said a few posts back about PA going back to previous levels. It's trying to make a decision... bounce/continuation or a reversal... look at the TDI...

hey all, eelfranz you can have it back because Ill be getting my own gold plated one soon . All I did for my screenshots was to upload them to tinypic.com. I then clicked my image as seen on tinypic and then click 'view raw image'. I then saved the url and used it when attaching a screenshot in the forum if that makes sense.

4hour is a joy to trade and Im fully converted. I started trading the Craig Harris method about 2 years ago, in his early days with much success to begin with. Then slowly but surely too many false signals and using hard stops I began to lose confidence with his strategy but I've always kept my eye on this thread.

I think the secret (for me) is the higher time frames. I used to spend 9am - 2pm trading 15 min charts, I always lost concentration and started making silly mistakes. 4hour takes all that away and gives less false signals. Exiting when TDI goes flat or hooks over is another fantastic strategy thats saved me so many pips. It sometimes can get a bit 'niggly' when your exiting each time you see tdi flat/hooking over. Sometimes over 3/4 days each trade becomes either break even, small loss or small profit. Stick with it and it will pass, and the next day you'll get a nice juicy swing which you can ride all the way! lovely

On my FXDD Daily chart it hasn't quite crossed yet and this is an hour or two since you asked... just found your question. I'd pass on the trade personally but that's just me. My percentage of winnings and pips seem to go down when I do day trading. Check your 4hr & 1hr charts when considering a trade your not sure of... what's building under that Daily chart? Take a peek...

Thanks Big E... I do sometimes check the hourly chart when trading the 4 hour chart. I have tried to get a jump start on a trade by trading the hourly chart but it has backfired on me also a few times. It does seem that the 4 hour chart seems more reliable and I plan on trading it and the daily only when I do go live. I just need to learn patience! Thanks and good luck trading!

I did not get a chance to read the entire 290+ pages of postings but I did read about the first 20 and last 20; however, I did not pick up on when you changed your style from 15M to 4 HR. Any particular reason?

You can see on the chart that I also have a sell-stop, which I hope gets hit. On the daily chart, that level breaks an inside bar. Kinda combining two strategies here.

You don't need much patience... just learn to set your alarm clock 10 minutes before a new candle appears on the 4hr chart... If you get a trade set up at night... place the trade and go to bed... take 2 Asprin and check back 4hrs later... Start on Demo...

Yes.. I agree with that. But the day job got in the way, so didn't see it until later. Figured it still wasn't too late. Was up as much as 15 pips, now minus 1, but I still have faith that this will go the right way: DOWN!

Would this be a valid entry? The TDI crossed down but one would have passed on it b/c it's at 32 and stochs showing oversold, correct?

Only half-way thru the H4 bar, this looked tempting.

You need to go back and review the Training Charts for correct entries off the TDI... If you don't see it... don't enter the trade.

Post 4377 - I would have passed too... that entry would have been 1 candle to early...

Post 4378 - Green hadn't crossed red yet on the TDI... it could still have bounced at that point...

Wait for a proper TDI Signal...

As mentioned in the Skype room. Here's a solution for people, (I hope) who are still lovin' the regular candles. It shows HA candles in a separate frame.
