Damn impressing today for the EOB...

I closed the last box trade (buy eurgbp) manually as prices hit the yellow line...the tp was set to the halftopsixth...

Steve,

Any parameter I can set so the box trade close @yellow?

With EOB .... I notice the tp levels do not adjust with the changing sixths lines
Is this intentional ?
There seems to be a good number of trades hit the dashed magenta line, but do not close in profit as this is no longer the tp level, and then reverse

That is a logic failure on my part. I had forgotten that the sixths lines can move. I will fix this soon.

I have added the ability to set box trades' tp's at the gold lines.

jcs's most recent post explains something I was confused about. Users will have noticed "Box " in the comment field; I forgot to mention that I had added this whilst we are testing, so we can easily see which are the box trades.

Several times, EOB appeared to have placed box trades in ridiculous places; others they are correct.

What happens is this: the market price enters the box, so EOB sends the pendings; then the sixths change and the pendings are wrong.

I am not going to sort this out now. I am going out in a couple of hours and will be away until Wednesday night, so Thursday is the earliest I can think about this. Just be aware that pendings that start out correct can look silly fairly quickly.

If anyone happened to download EOB before the edit time in my last post, please re-download. I coded part of the new function but did not save the code, so it was missing.

You might want to check this also
I have many instances of price entering / exiting the box with no pendings being sent
Can see nothing in the logs to suggest EOB tried to send any pendings

The box can be too small; it only appears that the market entered the box; the platform might have been disconnected; there could have been a trade-context-busy thing. That little list is straight off the top of my head, before I start to think seriously about the causes.

As I often remark, MT4 is crap.

I seem to have a re-entry pips problem come up on GBPCHF. Screen display says 'Re-entry line pips 2000' but I've got another Buy stop L3 trade waiting at 63 pips.

Anyone else with a similar scenario ?

Ja reentry line for EUR/GBP was 150 away from the first entry. Reentry pips 50. When deleted it apeared corectly...

But my re-entry line (Turquoise) was 200 pips away but pending set at 63 pips !! The Magentas were and are nowhere near it !!

This is really incredible how you can leverage yourself against hedging at the right time.

Let's say, you are in the hole about 200 pips, and margin level is about 120%(Steve's recommended value is about 1100%)...I'd say I am walking on a high cliff without a safety rope!

I totally forgot about the ea Steve posted earlier: Margin level hedge monitor EA.mq4...should have used it, but got a bit nervous, and started to delete some trades manually, and immediately ordered a hedge trade against the loosing pair.

At the moment, the Margin level is around 228%.

Just one question: Should I attach this ea to every chart that EOB is running, or just one chart will suffice?

I just read the code, and I think have the answer to my own Q!

As Steve mentioned earlier you use the ea on any pair when feel in trouble.

In the EOB code, there is a hedge section:

extern string hed="----Hedging----";
extern bool UseHedging=false;
extern bool MptmWillControlHedging=false;
extern int HedgeAtLossPips=500;
extern double HedgeLotsMiltiplier=2;

Why not just change the UseHedging to true, and set your HedgeAtLossPips to any pips value...in my case, I'd use 200 instead.

So I don't really need to use the other ea...as long as I can be sure a hedge trade will occure on any pair by activating the UseHedging.

Hi Steve,

Had an idea...what if add a section in EOB's MM where you can have the following:

extern string ABM="Account Balance Management";
extern bool ABM=false;
extern int BalanceProfitPercentage=6;
extern int BalanceLossPercentage=3;

So if I set ABM to true - whenever my total balance percentage profit is at 6%, close ALL trades...and when total balance of the account is at 3% loss, exit ALL trades.

I've let this trade run and an L3 BUY at lot size 0.12 has been placed. But no sign of the blue BE line on the chart.

In fact it was not showing on the previous chart posted when two buy trades were already in place.

Anyone else noticed no BE line on charts ?

I've tried the usuals i.e reloaded EOB but to no avail. Can't try to delete it as its not there.

Any ideas ?

Ask yourself what happens when several instances of the bot detect the opportunity to close the entire position at almost the same time, and start to close down the trades.

You are better off using mptm for this.

Press ctrl + B to bring up the objects window, and see if you have a line called "Break even line". If it is there, tick it and see if you can see the white blobs anywhere on your chart. Sometimes a line is there but hidden.

Sing out if it is not there.

Thanks Steve. I followed your instructions but there is no sign of a BE line in the Objects panel. All the other lines i.e sixths, Re-entry and all modified stops are as they should be !!
