Hi Kinsale,
glad to see you here....i guess u have indeed jumped the gun a little bit....just allow me a few more posts to explain what i am trying to and then maybe we can discuss whether we do it the same way or different...i do agree that the concepts are going to be the same, whoever trades it but the things that u look for varies from trader to trader. For eg., i do not see NS, ND etc...i just enter when i believe its the right time...what i do is pretty simple application of VSA....easy for newbies to grasp....for those who have indepth knowledge...

Ok, fair enough, sounds good, i'll definitely keep an eye on the thread.

Cheers,

Now, here is the way it is traded and i will try and put it in as simple words as possible...everyday, during the frankfurt and beginning of London session, you will see that there would be a rise in volume...that can be noted using the MA....in case there is no increase in volume, then there is something wrong...it could be a ranging day or no one is sure what is going to happen and hence we might have a choppy day...so if you dont see a clear increase in volume (MA sloping upwards), its better you stay out..

When the volume increases, note which...

If you're looking "during the frankfurt and beginning of London session" wouldn't you start looking at 0700 GMT, when Frankfurt opens?

err... had to comment on this

when volume increases and prices rises at frankfurt / london open this DOES NOT mean that sellers are there always. The only way that supply maybe hitting the markets is if the volume is abnormally high when compared to prior days at the particular time you are trading.
I have reviewed your posts and it has NOTHING to do with vsa perse. If you are going to try and mentor others at least understand what it is your are teaching , as newbies will be going off with the thoughts that they know vsa and in reality it is the frankie fake out that you seem to be playing and has nothing to do with vsa.

Please be very careful in what you post ,you may mislead others.

If traders really want to learn vsa , simple .. sign up for tradeguiders vsa club. $50 per month and the very best learning resource for vsa by far. They have 100's of webinars archived. I have not commercial interest in tradeguider ( disclaimer)

Why is he missleading anyone with this idea ? Maybe this startegy doesnt work in the long run , but nevertheless no one needs to pay 50€ here to find out that all he is paying for is total nonsense.

Hello friend ....

Your strategy has a potential ....

[ I have coded this strategy in Multichart like

Conditions

Timeframe: 1H

For Long:
1). MA of Volume Up [5 Period]
2). MA of Close UP [5 Period]
Stop Loss : 40 pips
Take Profit: 30 Pips

For Short:
Just Reverse Long

Without News Filter ]

I just looked for Drawdown ... It has only 5% Drawdown

Just base strategy showing positive results, that has more room to improve...

If we use some news filter and exit options other than fixed TP can hike results....

Arun, I think you coded it in the reverse of the system rules.

If price and volume are up from 0800-0900 GMT, you go short.

If price is down and volume is up, you go long.

Am I mistaken?

No friend ...

Average Voume of current bar grater than previous average volume this is first condition ...
if MA > MA of previous bar then Long and
if MA < MA of previous bar then Short
in coding ....

[ if Avg_Volume > Avg_Volume[1] and Avg_MA > Avg_MA[1] then Long]

[ if Avg_Volume > Avg_Volume[1] and Avg_MA < Avg_MA[1] then Short]

Friend .... Leave it ... I just want to check the reliability, I coded and checked...

Happy Piping

Hi Arun,

How's things? I think Billbss is right, if you look at what nsk is saying, when volume is up and price is up, there is selling going on, therefore go short and vice-versa with respect to price direction.

See post 18, quoted below:
"When the volume increases, note which direction the price moves. When volume increases and price moves up, it means that lot of selling is happening as price moves up. So you can afford to short it with SL of 30-40 pips and TP of 30-40 pips...If the price goes down when volume is going up, then you start looking for longs..."

Pardy
