On both trades (post 4149) it appears you entered one candle late. As soon as Green crosses red... enter the trade but not until. Sometimes green hits red and bounces back...

Hello everyone, I started reading this thread about a month ago, I'm finally up to date lol.

First off a big thanks to everyone for contributing. Esp ecially BigE, Neo and Xaphod, yout help is much appreciated. I've spent quite a while stepping through old charts and I can definitely see the merits of this method. I haven't quite managed to transfer this over to my demo trading yet, but that's just my own psychological problems holding me back (itchy trigger finger)

I do have a question for you bigE. You say to exit when the green line starts to flatten out or hook over, but I noticed quite often it can fish hook, then turn back in the direction of the trend. Would you then re-enter? I ask because it's usually after quite a few HA bars of the same colour, but it looks as if it could be quite profitable.

You entered too early. Note the green is just touching the red TDI line... it hasn't crossed. Big mistake...

I Don't take a big draw down... If it comes back 8-10 pips then exit and look for a re-entry...

It will start to click soon... hang in there on your Demo chart and we will get you there. We have a lot of good and helpful folks on this thread...

I can't tell because you haven't put a vertical line where you entered so I'm trying to guess where it was on the TDI. Almost looks to me you might be entering one candle late. Please put the verticle line on your charts. Thanks buddy...

have included the line, i think i entered this a little late but i waited for a small retrace before entering as i saw itr a little late about 40+ pips on the second half. it is in demo and geting ready to go live, am trading with 1% risk.

some show an individual losing trade but most signals are profitable. It's 3pm here and the charts are current...

Still looks like you should have entered one candle earlier. That earlier candle holds a lot of pips...

As soon as Green crosses Red... if your entering... do it then. More pips in your kitty...

Which broker do you use?

so, Big E . you only check green ,see if flat, fish hooded over or revereal after candle just close. right? not during the bar form. right? this is only part give me trouble in the 5 methode. sometime I am just too early to make entry or exit at middle of bar form. thanks.

The Stoch was still in the overbought area (above 68%). I find the trades work better when both the stock lines are below 80% for shorts and above 20% for longs. You should be using the HA candles and the 5 EMA like Eric recommends.

As I've said many times: When the TDI goes flat, fish hooks over or does a check mark reversal... I exit immediately. I've also stated many times that I always look for re-entries if the trend continues.

I'm still on a demo account BTW, I want to make most of my mistakes for free.

Follow up on a trade I took during slower market hours. Had to leave to install a floor. So, I set SL tight. Stopped out with a 7 pip loss. A 20 pip SL would have resulted in profit. Something to consider.

Results from scalping the EU this morning. Worked out nicely. Used the low of 1.4264 for mental SL.
Used the 5m and 15m but entered using the 1m TF.
Trichet is speaking as I type this up. Moving market but with no direction...so not trading.

Entry looks good off the TDI bounce.

On Daily charts: It's best to enter when your broker updates once a day and get in at the beggining of the new candle (if you have a signal)... other wise you set yourself up for the draw back on your entry candle. Keep that in mind while trading the Daily charts.

Hey buddy. Get off those low timefrane charts and look for set ups on the 1hr and above. Less noise, less head fakes, less calories... lol

Honestly... move up to the plate on Demo and make some real pips and build your confidence. You'll never regret it...
