30 pips in 30 minutes on the GBPCHF. I think I like this H4 trading!

I made about $35.00 last night setting a sell (short) on the
eur/usd setting my hard stop at $50.00 (4hr charts) then going
to work for 8 hours. I just liquidated for +$35.00 (just got home).

I just made another trade (just now) gbs/usd short, 4 hour chart.
The red has crossed the green on the tdi. But the average price bars
have not crossed the 5+3 ema. This would be called one of your
aggressive trades. Everything looks good except fot the price bars
crossing. I'll give it a shot and see how it works. Oh by the way the
stoch is pointing down at about the 5:00 p.m.

Love your system finally making money which is good.

Took 31 pips on that super fast mover the NU. Signal was there on the H4 chart so....... Probably should have stayed in but got pips and looks like TDI is tipping over. Need to learn to trust more!!!!

What time zone are you in, and what are the hrs you recommend NOT trading the H4 charts?

You gave several chart examples where you would not enter due to the time of day--- just trying to clarify in my mind what those hrs are.

Big E, When you take a trade and you've got a good cross of the R/G with SS agreement.... and price takes you negative, do you take another position to increase your leverage? You mentioned I think that if your stops are placed beyond the previous swing H/L, that you've never been stopped out. That would make one believe that as long as the R/G lines haven't gone flat that you could average down with another position. Your thoughts?

Hindsight being what it is here is an update to the NU H4 long trade almost 2 hours later. Got out at .7755 with 31 pips. Price has been as high as .7805, and look at the chart - there is just beginning to be a downturn on the lower (H1) TDI. Live and learn.

on the USD/JPY trade I broke even and on the EUR/CHF trade i made +14 pips.

I have three TDI indicator (two with alert and one without).
The two I attached give me the alert in a strange way I don't understand: too many writings and late alerts when green line has already crossed by far the red.
I just need a TDI with alert that can alert me just when green line crosses the red one (in time and not so late as the one I've already got).
Can somebody help about this issue?

Another question:
sometimes TDI freezes and you cannot see the cross when the cross is already happened because you have to shift timeframe and then come back to the original in order to unlock it. Of course it can happen the opposite, i.e. you see a cross that is not valid any longer, because maybe the green line made a hook and you don't realize it because TDI is frozen and didn't move to give you the right information.
Again I thank anyone who is able to solve this issue.
I think that TDI is really helpful and I'd like to use it the best as I can to help me in my future higher times trading.

am working on my laptop and am not being allowed to take a picture in mt4, when i do this on my other computer i get a picture, can anyone help?

Took the GU short when R/G crossed. Currently underwater about 50 pips. You think this still good, or time to bail?

I'm looking at this and thinking it may not have been time to go short..was there a close below the 5ma? My chart doesn't show a close below the moving average so I would be waiting for a close below the 5ema before going short in an uptrend..just my two cents though and I've still got a lot to learn.

When the candle closes I check the TDI if I'm online. If the green is now flat, fish hooked over or check mark reversal... I'll exit the trade. Otherwise I stay in the trade for more pips...

Walsanshu - what are all those indicators on your chart? Each to his own, but I have found that one of the primary attributes of the Big E 5 Method is its simplicity. The more stuff on the chart the more difficult it is to utilize the strength of this approach. IMO of course.

Regarding your question regarding the GU trade, to me it looks like the small downturn where you got in short is just a small retracement. I trade off H4, so am more familiar with how it reacts. Even so, on the H1 chart I would have been out of the trade when the first blue candle crossed the 5ema and/or when the TDI curled back up and stayed that way for several candles. Maybe not make much, and you can always get back in if the momentum stays in the direction you thought it was going to go.

trying to post the image...success...it was on the aud/usd, on my demo, set my stop on the previous swing and went to sleep about 6 am brought the stop to breakeven and took off about half the trade, hit the target while i was again sleeping.

You can trade the 1 or 4 hr. charts any time of day. I'm on the West Coast in the Pacific Time Zone (-8).

I don't usually trade during the day because I don't want to be tied up and generally momentum is less/slower.... however bythepound trades during the day and does quite well.

If I don't feel good or don't feel like trading.... I stay off the charts. That's when I tend to make mistakes because I'm not 100%.

I don't take an average down position... If the market goes against me via the TDI... I exit.

Because of medical problems I don't sleep restfully at night so I try to catch a nap or two to rechargs my batteries during the day...

Your TDI wasn't turning over on your chart (#4144) but you were hi above the 68 so exiting wasn't a bad decision.
