Off shore broker for US customer - Trading Point?

Anybody tried alpati UK? They take US accounts too. I demo their MT4 platform and it is only 2pips spread.

For those intrested, I have traded 2 full weeks with Trading Point. Micro account with 500:1 leverage. Here are my thoughts:

Deposits-- I used a credit card. No problems. Lightning fast credit to your account, less than 15 minutes. 20% despoit bonus on inital deposit was given as promised.

Withdrawal-- also by credit card. No problems. Completed in about 4 hrs.

Trading-- Pretty standard. No real problems. Sometimes platform lags for a few seconds before an order goes through.... but you do get the better price if it goes in your favor.

Overall, I am happy with them. They answer emails very quickly and seem pretty keen on customer support.

I just opened an account with them as well. I only put $20 in a micro account with 500:1 leverage to play with. I have my main account at Oanda still with lower leverage and less risk. I've had no problems thus far and the speed at which they get you started trading is pretty damn amazing... So...

Customer service is outstanding. Instant deposit. U.S. citizens can spot trade gold, silver, oil, and dow.

What is the market type? is it Market Maker, STP, or ECN?

from what I see, it looks like an MM...

My only complaint is the spreads aren't as tight as Oanda...

Any update on this broker from a legitimate source? Are these guys a bucket shop?

Been trading with them this week. 20% deposit bonus in. Customer service great so far. Live chatted with them for 2 hours while opening the account. So far so good!

Alright, just hope this doesn't become another JadeFx.

500:1 Max Leverage - Red Flag

Granted, the same things that give them Red Flags are also alluring, but it's just that no broker with anything aforementioned has ever been reputable.

Have made multilpe deposits and withdrawals. No problems. Platform is stable. Yes, they are a bucketshop.... but who else would give 500:1 leverage? You have to accept that if that is the type of leverage you seek. All in all, they have done a good job for me. Yes, there is some slippage... but it goes both ways. When the slippage is in my favor, I get it. My only real complaint is the spreads. They are, in general, a little high compared to the Oanda's and FXCM's of the world. But I can control a full lot w/ $200 vs $2000 with the 50:1 crowd. For small accounts trying to swing big, they seem like a good choice.

that is the most stupid things I ever heard, either you don't just get it or you are a supporter of the bucketshop in question, you gotto be out of your mind staying with a bucketshop even though you know it is a bucketshop! how are you going to score high when your bucketshop send spikes to execute your stops? and freeze your software, do you really think he will allow you to make big winning trades? well you can forget it, if you win a million, he will loose a million, do you really think a broker is willing to loose his money? guess what, he wont! your small acount will soon be empty because you can't ever! be succesful with a broker like that. the 500:1 will not be a help to you, it will simply blow your acount faster.

Agree with FX-Petra. If I would prefer to trade with high leverage, I have no place to go except to the offshore bucketshop.

I do not trade with Trading Point, but with another similar one - https://forex-metal.com. For my purposes they are good.

Some will screw you, some will not. Some will close your account if you are too profitable, some will not. It depends on how they are structured. We will see how Trading-Point operates. So far, they have been above board. Time will tell the rest....

1. They are a high leverage broker
2. Know what you are getting into.
3. Trade that account knowing you may lose it all very quickly
4. Take your profits off the table.
5. Don't let anyone else tell YOU how to trade.
6. 80/20 high risk/low risk

I'm interested in this MM as well. Opened a demo account and am trading it. From the example above, are you really using 500:1 leverage? It seems like more than one needs to be profitable. Their slightly higher spreads don't bother me, my average trade takes 100-300 pips, so I'm not worried about a 5-7 pip spread. Also, I'll be coming from MB Trading if I switch my live account, so I'm already used to commissions + spread being taken.

Any additional thoughts you have on this broker would be most welcome. Their signup process and adding and withdrawal of funds also seems easy to use, from what you've reported.
