Hi Steve, I don't know if this is by design. But in backtesting. The L3 trades are closing but the other recovery L1 and original trade is staying open. So we get a lot of L2 closures and we never get to L3. Thanks - TCO.

Nice idea the stop loss in l2 l3 trade.
I'm using it already with nanningbob system and it work really good in let the recovery run if it must instead if the recovery turn to be a looser u r out with some profit.
In NB system works great so should in the beast

L3/4 trades reach +50, so TOB locks in +10 on them, to avoid them hurtling into massive losses if the market changes direction again. As happened to me on Friday. As I described in my post.

Doesn't touch L2 trades.

Good news that those L3 trades are closing. Next thing is, are they closing appropriately? I guess they must be, as TOB sets a sl that is being hit.

The principle is good. Not sure the code is watertight yet, so keep an eye on the trades.

Not sure if this makes much sense, and it is a manual intervention which is probably not always the best thing to do, but after having this happen to me a few times as well, I decided to put up a 4H chart once I get to a L4 trade and put Bob's RWB indicator on (from the original NB strategy). I then watch the price action manually and when I see the price is starting to turn (usually when the blue or white line reach the other side) I close the trade and lock in some profits. I then let TOB take the next recovery trade when the set up is correct again.

Doing this, on some long time recovery trades I have managed to accumulate enough profit to close out the losers a bit earlier than if just left to TOB.

Moving forward though, I think I might just manually set a be + as suggested on the L4 trade only which would probably achieve the same result with less screen time.

This all sounds good to me. Something similar would have saved me a fair bit of dd.

Basically, after much erudite discussion by all the talented people here, we decided we need a tea-leaf filter. I am trying to work out the algorith.

I am in the same line as well. Not sure where this thread has gone. I'm still on the very very old TOB. All I want to find is a working "no glitch in code" TOB with the chaser sixths and replace deleted pending fix.

me personally just want to find the fuckin holy grail

....no...to be honest it would be awesome if steve or hiredwhip just would give us a short summary of the current tob situation?

whats next aim? whats done? hows performance so far?

i know i should read the thread blabla but i need to handle 10 more threads.... no time : /

From what I've perused they've added volatility filter, trailing stop after recovery BE, and now they are adding additional filters and candle reading patterns in an attempt to optimize entrys into trades seeing how about 25% of all my trades goes into recovery.
