I like a long on the gu to retest 6050. m waiting for a test or ns on the lower time-frames for an entry.

Some good buying off of 1.598. (Was a great entry there, channel bounce, but I wasn't around) I'm now looking for a bounce off yesterday's open 1.6001 and the channel. We're also up 90 pips from the bottom, so will be using the grain-of-salt approach here. Watching the USD strength too via USDJPY - we're directly reacting to it's rise here.

Thanks for posting. One aspect of this i am observing is when we are in a Range as we were much of this morning after the 5/6th bar or so to the right of the Trigger bar and volume; the signals seems to be less reliable for testing (Of course i am willing to be corrected on this, just something i have observed and keep an eye out for) - im sure someone posted a chart to this effect on this thread somewhere : or was mentioned in one of the TG videos that are around; if i can locate it ill post it up.

A losing trade to start the week unfortunately;

Set an order for a buy on cable based on what I thought was a test on a trigger number. Trade triggered and then dipped below the trigger before coming back up on No Demand and an upthrust type bar. It was here that I should have changed my long bias and reversed my trade. But I didn't.

The reason i'm posting this? Feedback and so hopefully someone else can learn from my mistake as well

This is why i had to get away from the charts for a few mins, i had my order set up for this but i didn't ok it based on the volume on the test. Thought it was too high!

I'm makin' myself upset here ... gotta stop (trying) to be so exact. Was off by 0.1 pips here, and miscalculated a buy limit based on spread, and missed out on 20 pips. Oh well - starting to look like the upthrust is being sold into on GU, although EU has made a new high.

Note to self: do 3 pips really matter in the scheme of things?

Yes I welcomed you when we had our misunderstanding last week. But I have to comment on this.

So you're OK at learning and peeking into other people's charts, yet there's some veil of privacy with posting yours ... in case you haven't noticed, this thread & forum is about sharing and then learning from it. Trading is overwhelmingly about charts, and often the look and content of other's charts can eye-open us to something we missed.

Lots more I can say here, but if it's just going to be cowboy calls that are also non-VSA, then I'm not quite sure what you're up to in this thread. Even if you're Stanley Druckenmiller, protocol would request charts. I know you don't like my input, but really, "I don't post my charts" is too eliteist.

I'm posting what I think is a great opportunity for up-side potential on the GJ.

I'm posting 2 charts, the first is a 30 min followed by a 15 min. Since the large widespread up bar we have consolidated into a range and have not broke out. An examination of price and volume in multiple time frames brings me to the conclusion that dips are being bought. A break of 131.10 with volume on the break followed by testing on low volume will be my long entry.

Thoughts welcome.

Couldn't have put it better!
BTW Beljevina, I read Master The Markets over the weekend and it was great.
Took a couple of trades this morning, one I posted on here which I wasn't sure about (+60 pips) and have taken 100 pips altogether today.
Looking forward to yours and everyones posts. Adding VSA to my arsenal is fantastic, thank you.

Wow, that is so cool to hear, on the good profits! There is sooo much in that book - I have a crappy memory when it comes to so many details and learning the VSA language - and you can perhaps understand why reading the book over and over again makes sense.

There are so many great traders and VSA gurus here that it doesn't take that long to put it all together and learn & profit from it. Hopefully it gives fx volume - on all timeframes - a new meaning and place on your charts. I used TOS fx futures and the VPA study for some time, and probably still would, except it alone needs 2 or 3 monitors of space, lol! As you begin using your broker(s) volumes, just be careful on any tricks and inconsistencies, since the tick counts vary so wildly from broker to broker, as does knowledge of who's and what kind of volume count is being displayed, esp. for the key NS, ND and other VSA notions.

If you want to learn VSA great follow along... but don't waste everyone's time posting trades that have nothing to do with VSA.

You say that others can go and look at their charts when you make a call... well what are we looking for if they are not VSA based trades? All newcomers will do is stare at their charts trying to figure out where the call came from and why you took the trade and just end up more confused.

Sorry for the later post but we just picked up a big project and I have been tied away in meetings.

Took this long off my phone. Yellow line 1 was started a key reversal for me as we approched the daily low we had a volume surge on a narrow spread bar closing off it's low... next bar up.

Yellow line 2 is a key bar as it takes price back above the daily open. We get a NS and then a NS/test of the daily open (red line). I wen't long off the break of it's high.

Also note that the bar right before yellow line 2 was a NS type bar.
