You can try CFD - but it is high - risk investment I'd say. If you hace enough cash you'd better buy the stock, not CFD.

What about making money with futures and forex, and reinvesting the profit in stocks (only 1 or 2),...so when u sell, u dont have so many costs,... in a year or two the profit can be more then doubled...i also did some psiho testing what could be better stocks or cfd,...so...ill buy stocks till may, then i will sell all them,..and will go short with cfd on absolute winners (like TIE, CFM; IGE,..this year) the only problem is that some have gone to index,...never mind... nirvana.

ok. lets make it simply. Trade future & forex= earn profit--> buy stocks after some moey earned--> sell everything on May and short CFDs
for 1 month-->then buy stocks again in a month or 2...and so on...cool.

Merlin, have you ever tried to sell Google puts against buying the Nasdaq QQQQ puts for the same month??? Could really be a good hedge lowering the risk involved if Google stock went down too much, as it will weight...
Agreed, for the buy and hold - the way to go is what fund managers do, calculate the intrinsic value of the stock, and short the overvalued stocks/CFDs and long the undervalued ones. Rather than lock up all capital in a share, better follow the market and trade. Im counting on Hewlett to continue slipping to $38.00 along with the Dow, as well as poor guidance from Goldman-Sachs...No stock borrowing hassles.

With interactive brokers do you actually own the stocks or are they CFD's and does anyone have any experience with fidelity as I have heard they provide the best exposure to mutual funds in otherwise hard to access markets like Brazil, Turkey, Russia , China etc

I am in need of a programmer, I have traded forex using A/R and an algorithm I had discovered for years and have recently discovered a more profitable algorithm within the stock market. My main problem is I am a programming moron, just a math guy.

If there is anyone that could be of assistance developing this I would greatly appreciate it and would give to you a copy of the finished product.

What I would suggest is using a cheap broker and then buying your own independent research. Using a place that provides research such as etrade will cost you more per trade and if you trade a lot, will be paying more than the cost of a cheap broker (such as Scottrade) and then a good research site that will provide you with data on the stocks you want to buy (such as Marketgrader.com)
