Well, the pricing at PFG is ... not very transparent to say the least. They will probably start out by quoting you 50 us$ pr. million/side. You will be able to negotiate a better price, but if you don't need a fancy platform, a broker like LCG will give you much lower commissions.
I like the fast execution and the trade management in TradeVec but if you need a lot of custom indicators this is not the platform for you. It has some advanced volume studies but they can't be used for forex.

Not sure what their minimun opening amount is...maybe 20-25K USD? Minimum trade size is 200K. Comms are 16/mln based on USD. So if you trade GBP/USD (say rate is 1.61) and buy 400k GBP you sell 644K USD. Your comms are based on the 644K USD so you would pay roughly 10.40 USD in comms.

As for the link you provided, I read it and although any news like that is a bit disconcerting, since it pertains to managed currency accounts back in 2009 I'm not overly worried about it. But thanks for bringing it up as I will certainly monitor any further developments.

From what I read, they are raising another 8 mln GBP in an equity offering and have already set aside close to 3 mln GBPs just in case.

Thanks, Vengeance. Since I often like to scale out of my positions and leave about 10-20% in the market I wonder if the minimum trade size refers to initial position size and you can still close smaller increments of a 200k position.

I think it refers to the initial opening position. And although they say min. trade size is 200K (smallest you can actually trade is 50k), I have gone as small as 50k at a time (although aggregate per day it is much more). I think as long as you are doing about 200K (round trip = 400k) per day then likely no issue.

dunno why people here are missing the obvious. if you want a 500:1 leverage ECN broker which has MT4, then fxopen is the best choice.

Because some people trade with bigger deposits and have concerns over realiability of execution.
FXOpen is broker with very, very low level of credibility among serious traders who in general closed their accounts with FXOpen.
And yes they are good for leverage and promotions, if you prefer.
