Interesting idea... I love being able to do a quick scan of the indicator to see how volume and range is comparing over last bars.

I was thinking to myself that this morning's activity looks like some form of distribution - but we're in a short day range so I'll be interested to see what happens from here - my vote is back down to test 1.4170/4160 at least, if not further.

Just realized I never replied... The thing with tests and SO into a level like 4170 SM could very well kill 2 birds with one stone having the tail drop down into 4160 but then closing back above both levels, in a sense testing both at once since they are so close.

First marked bar would be trigger by me and second is an valid entry

I use that costume colored volume and wider range bars indicators and some crazy TFs nob but that is just an experiment ..lol

And this is Ipolos nice 3 min chart

First bar i marked as an widest range bars..We can see that by the indicator bellow..as well Ipolo made it

Then entry is second marked bar it tryed to push up but looks at the volume and range

So we have an valid short entry

In this trade i could see that range of the bar was even more important than volume itself

I picked widest raneg bar not only highes volume bar...that might be bad

Please masters of VSA if you can writte few about that fact...

No problem...my question was more that a test by its nature is testing for supply, and when it hits a (medium) POC the resistance is going to result in some previous short positions being covered resulting in buys, meaning the volume is higher and there is more effort required to push down to 1.4160. That was my theory, I was interested to see if it made sense or not.

Good example of where we could end up seeing a higher volume test or even a SO allowing them to probe all the way into that high volume trigger... however the VPOC if tested is close enough for me.

i had a short.. on the break of bar#8 low( i assume it a test bar), my tp is yesterday vpoc + spread currently locked in +20
i dont know if it going to be hit or not.. bar#3 look like stopping volume..


btw, i got another idea on range and volume indicator...
adding where it close in relation of the bar hi lo
something like 0% mean close on the low, 100% close on the high.

He has AMT (auction market theory) indicators on his charts as well. Showing daily POC's, VAH's, VAL's etc... there is a thread that some of the VSA traders also follow along with pertaining to this including Hidden Gap.
